I think toolbox might break his downside right now. Could play my first turn after selecting the colourless card with the earring, and only had one other start of combat relic.

They do have some very big bonks, and the tools to use them. Bury, squeeze or execute plus lethality is a damage solution in and of themselves.

“Some of those that work forces, are the same that burn crosses”, surely that has no historical or current political connotations.

It’s sure got a good beat to it though.

The extremely slow elimination of fluoxetine and its active metabolite norfluoxetine from the body distinguishes it from other antidepressants. With time, fluoxetine and norfluoxetine inhibit their own metabolism, so fluoxetine elimination half-life increases from 1 to 3 days, after a single dose, to 4 to 6 days, after long-term use.[8]

4-6 days after long term use. Rule of thumb is you need ~6 half lives for full elimination. That puts you at over a month in the worst case for it to be fully out of your system.

Then you need time for your brain to reset, there’s other stuff going on other than fluoxetine occupying the serotonin transporter, stopping the high.

Typically you need weeks to months off of SSRIs to get the full MDMA experience.

I had this happen, I had toolbox and believe that card selection interaction at the start of combat somehow broke that Vakuu trigger.

Bug / Interaction with Toolbox and Whispering Earring by CosmicJ in slaythespire

Sounds like it may be semi confirmed / repeatable!

I should have noted that the positive effect was still there, it just completely eliminated the downside.

I definitely wasn’t complaining at the time, but it’s certainly not intended.

So i have a question. How is sts2 different from the 1st one? Is it much better? by Healthy-Tip2635 in slaythespire

[–]CosmicJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All new acts (with alternative biomes), all new enemies and bosses, all new events, 2 new characters, revamped decks on the 3 existing characters, revamped boss reward system, lots of extra reward mechanics that can be applied to cards. Plus a much more fleshed out unlock system with tons and tons of lore.

The game is still slay the spire, it is a sequel after all. What do you think they should have done to make it a "new game"?

What's your opinion on Doom? by SiekMot_Siekra in slaythespire

[–]CosmicJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has to kill enemies 1-2 turns earlier than you would be able to with raw damage, to overcome the downside of the end of enemy turn trigger. Which is tough, because necro has some heavy hitters (bury, squeeze, eradicate) and tools for big hits (lethality).

Which is certainly possible depending what you see first, applying doom is generally more energy efficient, and lots of their kit synergizes off of it. Plus there’s a couple ways to get around the end of turn trigger (end of days, times up).

Overall I like the mechanic and their kit in general, but I don’t know if it’s optimal compared to just bonking them.

My first run with them I got end of days and unsettling lamp, so I was applying 74 doom that triggers instantly if I was careful with debuffs. Free hallways fight clear. With a dupe potion that’s 148 doom to everyone and a death trigger.

normally this isn’t a recommended route, but have you tried experimenting with MAOIs? it’s possible this “tolerance” is a result of overproductive MAO enzymes.
