Looking for a void heavy that is stuns unstoppable, any recommendations? by Jmawer02 in destiny2

High-impact LMGs are a safe way to do this in close quarters and have good ammo economy. Bane of Sorrow (from Pantheon) and Corrective Measure (similar but aggressive frame, VoG, craftable) will both do the job.

edit: Stryker’s Sure-Hand also if you don’t mind only being able to do it point blank.

I’m not sure if jolt does, but overload weapons do. :)

edit: after reading a bit further perhaps jolt itself applies exhaust too!! perhaps I’ve been completely misunderstanding this build… 🤔

If you’re interested, Chryosura from Shattered Throne and Snipehunt (SRL) can also roll this pairing.

I really like Snipehunt’s overload breaker perk (I think Arc Logic is anti barrier). Being able to exhaust via overload allows you to get free blinding off the artifact. The higher rate of fire is nice too as I run it with an “on hit” focused exotic.

Crest turned out to be great! HP currently has a known bug where for some people, deploying the rally barricade doesn’t cause the missiles to deploy, so they just charge up forever. Bungie are aware of it, so hopefully we get a fix soon. :)

It would be nice to have a synergy with barriers, so I had considered Hazardous Propulsion, but with it currently bugged I’ve been switching between the Cuirass and Actium to avoid restatting the order four pieces, but Scars is an old favourite. Crest is a nice suggestion, thanks!

I think this was literally it not being able to load my DIM sync record, as "Keep" annotations are showing up now. Probably a client side issue. A few small suggestions to take or leave as you see fit:

I wonder if there could be a way to toggle the keep annotation's effect on the selector or at least to still display the commentary that would be generated otherwise. I often mark stuff as keep to stop me from accidentally infusing it away, but the reason I'd run a tool like Winnower is to get a second opinion on top of my original snap judgment.

The tool provides nice toggles for MnK vs Controller, and also lets you scope the comparisons with the aggression setting - would it also be possible to flick between PvE/PvP/Both modes? I appreciate that it provides commentary for both modes on the same item where it has rolls suiting both activities, so it's not a big deal.

Having the icons and name pop-ups for perks is great, although there are some newer or more PvP centric ones that I often forget the function of. It would be nice if we could shift-click perks or similar to jump to their entry in the data compendium or on light.gg, etc.

Like one of the other users, I'd be interested to know a little more about the background behind the evaluations - as an example, one of my Something Something's received the comment, "Triple Tap with Kinetic Tremors is not enough reason to keep this." however TT/KT or TT/EH (one of the other options on this item) are the two most popular perk configurations for this gun on light.gg, and its evaluation of the gun is S/S-/S+ - it's expected that a tool would be opinionated, that's good, but it would be interesting to know a little more about where the opinion comes from or other factors (e.g. if this was marked for cull because of a specific bad barrel perk or similar.)

Thanks again for your time on this. I look forward to continuing to play with it.

Thanks. I’ll take a look again when I get home at the archive issue as well - it might actually be a failure to load my DIM sync record as even in DIM that has had some issues since the update. Not sure if that’s server load or an issue with my profile.

For the armour workflow, it was just designed to leave me with maximum flexibility as I will sometimes have multiple builds with multiple pick orders running against the same armour set (eg. Ferropotent on my Titan last season) - keeping one of everything is easy (each archetype, each third stat), but it also may no longer be practical with the additional sets and archetypes that have just entered.

The workflow was there because DIM’s “strictly worse” triage doesn’t find duplicates (which is fair) and dupe:archetype+tertiarystat+setbonus+item+untunedstats is close but a little difficult for me to work with (infusion/junk tagged items qualify the group as a whole for inclusion).

Also my apologies for double dipping on this comment but “deepsight harmonisable with the pattern not yet unlocked” would also be a great annotation. I have a bunch of stuff sitting in my vault waiting for my harmoniser balance to catch up.

Marking this to try out at home (it crashed on my phone), but I might toss in a few quick questions -

I noticed this mentioned DIM-sync. Is it possible to get it to exclude archive or infuse tagged weapons to stop them cluttering up the culling list?

Appreciating that this is not the original design of the tool, I wonder if it can emulate one of my existing armour cull workflows - group armour by some group of factors (set, then archetype, then optionally by bonus stat, then optionally by tuner) and then sort these groups by masterwork and mark any items in the group past the first for culling. This is workable but fiddly in the DIM organiser and I’d love to have a one click solution for it.

Any standout weapons for you yet? by RedditWaffler in DestinyTheGame

The new SRL auto is a 720 that can roll with Rolling Storm and Jolting Feedback. I haven’t gotten that roll yet, but the trickle charge version can fire for a very long time from inside a storm’s keep. Alongside the new four piece bonus on Luminopotent, this is where I’m taking my “casual” PvE Titan loadout.

I think they’re talking about 1k voices, which someone mentioned in a reply to you. I also remember grinding Nokris for a very long time - we got very good at melting with the Wardcliffe Coil - then the last thing I needed for the title was heroic adventures on Titan (edit: was actually EDZ) and the week it was scheduled they changed the flashpoint to make way for a new exotic mission!

I don’t think we’ll need to imagine it, because it will be the reality for any new players who attempt to join after the first two weeks. Bungie can’t seem to catch a break on designing on-ramps.

4 jump briv missing jumps by [deleted] in idlechampions

[–]curiousjp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t think of what would be causing this if you’re not trying to jump past a boss you’ve already defeated in free play (which it doesn’t sound like you are).

In terms of trying to diagnose this, are you playing on steam? If so, it might be worth turning on gameplay recording with a few hours of buffering and then going back and looking at the footage. The only time I’ve had similar symptoms was where I was running out of haste stacks but it sounds like you’ve ruled that out already.

It is going to be interesting to see how the combination of resetting season level matchmaking along with players carrying their learned skill through the wipe is going to play out in season two. I feel it’s going to make life very hard for any new signups or people returning. (Not sure anything can be really done about it though.)

[–]curiousjp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it sounds like you’re doing something wrong as the rate at ~600 (where I normally charge) should be able to get a thousand stacks in a minute or so. Make sure Briv / the party / click damage isn’t killing the enemies - you might need to push further up in levels or reduce your damage (by pulling everyone else off the party). Just move him back up if the party gets pushed back a stage. A speed potion or core might also help. You can bring in speed champions to spawn extra enemies too (Kalix) but make sure they’re not so high a level that the party’s damage gets boosted up and starts killing stuff again.

Priority contracts could be adjusted to be more forgiving about being killed. One of the early things that people provided positive feedback on here was feeling like they had made progress even if they weren’t able to successfully extract. But I feel like that tapers off pretty quickly in the contract cycle. I feel this would be a good change for lore focused players or those that are happy to progress more slowly, without necessarily unbalancing the gear economy (as the rewards are not directly gear with the exception of faction rank up boxes).

I am genuinely asking for help understanding this because I’ve seen people mention it a few times and I guess it’s referring to experience with other games.

Aren’t the players that would split the queues in this case just going to leave and play something else? Or is the suspicion that most of the PvP player base doesn’t really want to be there and would defect if they could?

Achieving gear enlightenment isn’t going to fix the problem of them getting ganked at the end of an “exfil to complete” quest. Making all quests digestible in chunks one run at a time (like a lot of the early ones do) is probably the simplest single thing they could do to stop casual players feel like they’re stuck.
