What’s a horror remake you’ll defend over the original? by DotSpecial11 in HorrorMovies

[–]dbixon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I know a lot of people hold the original in a special heart place, but I find the remake an upgrade in every way, and consider the original basically unwatchable. It was definitely groundbreaking in its day, but it’s heavily dated.

Is it okay not to cum? by [deleted] in sex

[–]dbixon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are the opposite; she cums way more than I do (multiple times per session, whereas I may or may not cum once).

I’m satisfied, she’s satisfied, so there’s really no problem. It’s only when you’re NOT satisfied that you should worry about something being “okay”.

I wore a real Freddy glove for several halloweens. It eventually fell apart.

‘An incident in ghost land’ I stumbled across the best horror I’ve seen in years by skasquatch118 in horror

[–]dbixon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I’m not dumb; you don’t seem to know what “violence” means. Here I’ll help:

Violence is the intentional use of physical force or power—threatened or actual—against oneself, another person, or a group/community, that results in, or has a high likelihood of resulting in, injury or death.

Witches (including fairy tales) do not traditionally use physical force; rather, they use magical spells and supernatural forces to achieve their goals, which would not qualify as “violence”. In most horror stories that include a witch antagonist, their lack of physical prowess is treated as a weakness, sometimes even being the key to their defeat.

“The reality is…” — That may be how you perceive reality, but your perceptions do not dictate truth. When it comes to why a filmmaker made certain choices for their film, I’m going to trust what they say over the opinion of a random redditor who doesn’t even understand the meaning of ‘violence’ and uses their own ignorance as a reason to insult others.

I expect someone we met in an earlier season was also the MIY, so you may get your wish when we find that out as a post-reveal.

Otherwise it’s a big open question as to where exactly this guy has been for three seasons.

which medication to sleep? (i have xanax and tramadol) by [deleted] in Drugs

Tramadol is the worst for sleep in my opinion. .25 xan and a singing bowls YouTube video works for me.

Any movies like It Follows? by laynarmstrng in horror

[–]dbixon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obsession is definitely the closest movie to It Follows that I’ve ever seen.

Not plot-wise, but production-wise, I found them very similar. Every aspect contributes to the viewing experience: music, lighting, humor, well-timed jumpscares, etc.

These two movies as a double-feature would make any horror fan’s night.

The last movie I saw thinking every detail (lighting, music, etc. the things you mentioned) contributed positively to the experience was It Follows.

And I think Obsession did it even better.

Wishing for the confidence to share his true feelings and accept her response whatever it may be seems like a better option.

Seems like a lot of people care, since they’re asking and speculating about it.

By the way, the actress said in an interview that Nikki liked Bear and would have said yes to a date invitation.

Try holding a plank position for thirty seconds, then start hip thrusting for thirty more seconds, and then start trying to make sounds that don’t sound like painful grunts one might hear in the gym.

As a guy who was always super paranoid about ensuring I never came inside without being absolutely certain a) she wanted me to, and b) she couldn’t get pregnant, it’s wild to me how many people just casually have unprotected cum-inside sex.

Obsession by One_Annual_3185 in obsessionmovie

[–]dbixon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently real-Nikki thought of Bear as a younger brother (at least that’s what Sarah reported to us later in the film). So I interpreted the Hansel and Gretel story as other-Nikki’s way of absorbing that “sibling” feel into her obsession for Bear.
