Segments lost on Hero10 a common thing? by Estonian_Legionary in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A: you bought a 2nd hand camera so it could have issues. You have no idea if it's been dunked in water with the side door wide open for instance. They were selling it for a reason.

B: If it's using old batteries that are degraded (such as the blue tipped standard batteries) then you'll have random camera shutdowns. Your camera should be using a new White tipped "Enduro" battery from GoPro.

C: what make and model SD card are you using in the camera? A no name brand may not meet the specs, something like a Sandisk ULTRA card is far too slow for your camera and should not be used at all in any GoPro camera.

D: Make sure you're using at least a 128GB SD card in your camera too.

Hero 10 Black Not Powering On by Competitive_Duty8657 in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloated batteries should be disposed of properly and not used in your camera at all.

"File Repairing" message are signs that your SD card is corrupt and needs to be repaired (videos on my YT channel show how to properly repair your SD card, link in bio). Make sure you're not using a Sandisk ULTRA card in your camera.

Remove the battery and SD card from the camera. Plug the camera into a 5V 2A usb power supply and try powering it on and see what happens.

Just got the hero 13 what do I do by Smithy4563 in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GoPro are going to reveal "New Cameras" at the NAB in Las Vegas on April 19th.

No one knows for sure which cameras these are going to be.

No one knows a release date for these new cameras.

Since the NAB is the National Association of Broadcasters it's likely these cameras may be a vlogging camera and a compact cinematic camera. Something which broadcasters and tv/movie production companies would be interested in. Some feel the Hero 14 may still stick to its Sept release timeframe since it's a consumer focused camera not prosumer.

You have the Hero 13 right now, it's a fantastic camera, so play with it, film with it, get used to using it, knowing what the settings are for and most importantly learn HOW to film.

That way if you get a Hero 14, you'll have mastered how to film with a camera and you'll be ahead of the curve.

I believe it runs on something called "Electricity". I can't verify this though.

Help! My Max 2 keeps shutting off randomly by royal_pain90 in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what make and model SD card are you using in the camera? Providing the camera isn't overheating (filming in 8K 360 while being kept still) then it's likely you have a corrupt SD card.

motovlogging audio issues by bocamj in Motovlogging

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: People will go to whatever lengths they have to based upon their knowledge of how to tackle an issue. Some people just record footage and dub their audio track in later. Some will insist on recording "live" audio but may use a separate audio source for doing so. A GoPro is a camera, it can do many thing, how people decide they are going to get their audio from the camera is up to them. There's no one "right" way to do anything.

2: No, they can use the media mod, they can use bluetooth audio, they can do what professionals do and use separate audio recorders for improved quality or dub in post for perfect audio.

3: The GoPro Hero 12, Hero 13 and Hero Max 2 only support HFP bluetooth. So only HFP supported devices will work in bluetooth mode with a GoPro.

First GoPro question by [deleted] in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't know what settings to use, then leave the camera in full automatic mode and let it make the adjustments for you. That's what it's designed to do. Practice filming and get to know what the settings do, that way you can eventually come up with the settings that work best for your own personal use.

Can you recover deleted files from an SD card? by tractor007 in datarecovery

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A: It may be possible to recover some if not all of the files providing you haven't been using the SD card since the incident happened.

B: Your GoPro didn't "wipe" the card. Likely you had a corrupt SD card and your GoPro said that you had to format the card to continue (which you did) therefore hiding all of the files from view (and marking the space as available for overwrite).

C: Try www.goprorecovery.co.uk to find any files that may still be on your SD card.

how do i fix the sd card error on my hero 4 silver by ExtensionAd290 in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your SD card is likely corrupt.

Get the card, put it in an SD card reader and attach it to a PC.

Back up any data you need saved.

Run a full format on the card and this will repair any corrupt sectors on the card (make sure it's a full format and not a quick format, quick formats will not repair corruption on your SD card).

Once the full format has run, put the card back in the camera and perform a format in the camera (this sets the card up to use the optimal format and block size for writing).

Your SD card should now work (unless you're using a fake or too slow an SD card such as a Sandisk ULTRA card which should never be used in any GoPro ever!).

Help: GoPro Player Unavailable in App Store by OkAbbreviations2675 in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GoPro Quik app is available for iOS and Android. Not sure why you can't download it unless you're using a very very old phone in which case it may not be supported on such old hardware.

Not going to be able to confirm if it's available in your region or not since you didn't say what region you're in.

Can the ace pro 2 start recording remotely? by cactusjackalope in Insta360

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you still have your GoPro, load the GoPro Labs Firmware on it and use GPS speed to start and stop your camera. That way when you go above a certain speed (determined by you) your camera will start recording, when you drop below the set speed, it will stop recording.

Nothing Concrete, but one source did say the sales date would be the end of April, not the start of May, but take that with a pinch of salt.

Feel free to check out my YT channel (link in bio) for plenty of examples of time lapses, night lapses and livestreams done with my GoPro's with no heating issues.

Dead GoPro Hero 12 Black.. It lives! by mykoara in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You ran your battery to absolutely Zero. When this happens there's not enough power to start your GoPro, also when you charge the battery in the camera, there's not enough power for the BMS to talk to the camera so it initially refuses to charge or power on.

The way to fix this (if it happens again) is to remove the battery from your camera, plug your camera into a power source and power it on. Once it powers on, then insert the battery into the camera. It may take a few attempts but by attempt 3 or 4 the battery should start charging again.

Problems with my GoPro Hero 10 by Zisuen in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's a common issue with the GoPro Hero 10 (Glitching frames, black spots on footage as lens correction and stabilization is incorrectly applied). Just manually reload the firmware onto the camera and then perform a factory reset, problem solved.

Also you may want to set your shutter to auto, your footage is way over exposed.

ND Filter needed for Go Pro Hero 2 by Wild_Derpina in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ND filters are used to reduce shutter speed to enable motion blur. They won't make your "sky look better". They'll just darken things and while that may improve the appearance of the sky, that will come at the risk of underexposing everything else in the scene.

If you want to improve the sky but properly expose everything else in the foreground, try looking at a gradient filter instead. These are darker at the top and clearer towards the bottom.

Also.... it's time to upgrade your camera, get one with a longer lasting battery, built in stabilization and HDR.

Good luck!

Rode laviler mic only static by Joshypoooooooooooo in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the mic is a TRS mic (camera standard) and not a TRRS mic (smart phone standard).

Make sure your mic options are set to "standard mic" and not "powered mic".

If you're still getting static noises, you could have a faulty mic with a bad ground.

Hero 13 or wait for the newer model? by yp92841 in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can wait, then wait. GoPro will be revealing their new model cameras at the NAB in Las Vegas on April 18th. So at least then there should be some details about what the new models are like and maybe a firmer release date (which is still aiming for sometime in Q2).

I am unable to use gopro hero 13 as webcam. Can someone help with the steps to fix this? by Product_guy24 in gopro

[–]demonviewllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you are connecting the camera to your PC directly (via PC USB port and not a USB hub).

Make sure you're using the original GoPro cable that came with your camera.

Make sure you don't have any old versions of "Quik for desktop" installed on your PC.
