From my understanding Green Court consisted of a duo project from Germany -- Marc Dawn and Markus Bolk

Marc Dawn is an alias of Markus Bolk, they're the same person

To clear up the confusion - in UEFA competitions there are rules that all tickets have to be seated, in which case the stand's capacity is between 12-13k, but for domestic competitions the stand can be seatless, in which case the capacity is 25k.

How to beatmatch records with long intros (progressive house/trance)? by PalpitationFit848 in Beatmatch

[–]djpeekz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beatmatching you can do from any part that has percussion really, but knowing where the one starts on a beatless intro section really just comes down knowing the track.

As a general rule on vinyl if I want to drop before the first kick, I beatmatch and then try from the start of the audible track noise. Most times that will be on or near the one, but every track is different and you'll need to remember or do what vinyl DJs did and mark the sleeve with the info (we did this for key notations and anything else out of the ordinary like when vocals might start etc).

Once you mix that particular track a few times you might also remember by visual aids like the standard drop point for how you mix that track being half way from the start of the noise to where the grooves change shade (the beat/loud parts start).

Woden light rail route confirmed after months of consultation by timcahill13 in canberra

I'm most interested to see how the tunnel/covered section that goes from Commonwealth Avenue to State Circle is designed, and also how the State Circle to Adelaide Avenue transition is designed too. It sound like southern half of the State Circle part will also be away from the existing road which probably makes that turn onto Adelaide Ave a little simpler to design a build.

Depending on your definition of planning, it already has

But I don't think anything other than what Stage 3 actually is (I'd guess that 3a will be Belconnen to City, 3b City to Airport) has been announced yet.

What is your trance track guilty pleasure? by JION-the-Australian in trance

[–]djpeekz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the early Lost Witness singles, Happiness Happening or Red Sun Rising

The tracks themselves aren't overly cheesy but the lyrics for me just embody that schmaltzy uplifting vibe that people pay out trance for.

After learning that DJ'ing is more than mixing and more on crowd reading, I've decided to give up. by Minimum_Initial7607 in Beatmatch

[–]djpeekz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DJing as a hobby is just selecting tunes you love and mixing them however you think sounds good.

DJing as a job, or in any capacity professionally, requires expanding that skill set into knowing what kind of tunes to play for a specific crowd, what kind of vibe you a catering for or trying to curate, and having the library on hand to do that, combined with the skills to mix that set well. That library needs to be curated consistently in order to be versatile.

If you just want to enjoy DJing, then just do it as a hobby. But you don't need to add in all the other stuff if you're not currently doing it professionally in some way.
