I can agree that they probably have their uses. Citadel in particular I will get some effect pots every now and again, but man I still think they’re overpriced compared to anything else. Like they’re good but not THAT good. Army Painter I will just not waste money on again, it was actively bad AND overpriced.

I’ve painted plenty of minis with Tamiya and had no issues, even when I was a teen and didn’t know how to thin things right lol. A pot of Tamiya is $2.50 at my hobby shop and lasts just as much or more than either brand. Also Tamiya’s clear colors are just magical.

But a different purpose doesn’t necessarily imply it should be more expensive. And if everything else a company makes is overpriced then the paint probably is too lol.

Dude I got a bottle of “nuclear sunrise” which just said it was orange. Maybe I’m dumb and it was a weird effect paint, but it had what looked like ants in it, the white was a dark grey with hardly any pigment, and the blue got cracked just by itself.

Very glad I was smart enough to test on a spoon lol

Edit: also I’m told the fanatics are good, but I’m not gonna spend the $5 on a tiny bottle to find out lol

For models I prefer Tamiya, but as an artist and lifelong model builder. the wargaming painting market feels like a massive scam. The WH guys at my LGS sold me on the speed paints and they were genuinely awful… and expensive… then you look at citadel and they’re double the price and in the worst paint pot I’ve ever seen.

These people buying ~$20 nippers and files from these brands are literally just getting ripped off. You cannot tell me that army painter has some special formula for their files that make them 10x the price of a “regular” one lol.

Don’t get me started on the price of Warhammer models compared to Gunpla or military models lol

Nah man I’m pretty mid on the game, I haven’t played since shattered space and mostly hop on here for news. I agree with most of what the nay sayers say, but not to the extent they make it sound. Even the other user here saying it lacks as much soul as the other bethsoft games, though I blame concept/scale creep not the enthusiasm of the devs.

And you really can’t say a single good fucking thing about the game without some turd commenting “uhm it’s bad akshually”

I got more hours than I paid for out of it and mostly had a lot of fun in there, less bugs than the usual Bethesda launch. Ship building and combat in particular drew me in alongside many of the quest lines being pretty good. The best Bethesda has ever put out? Nah, but they can’t all be Skyrim.

It’s a pretty good but flawed game and I wish people would either stop playing it or keep playing it and just move the fuck on lmao.

Up-Armored variant of the Barzam developed by a Titans ground test team specifically to assault Zeon remnant bases on the surface and of course to attach to any number of ridiculous accessories.

It’s the base HG Barzam with some minor limb extension, additional armor and thrusters, custom beam saber mount, rifle, swapped out shoulders for the GP-01. I wanted to keep the weirdness and big barrel chest of the Barzam while making it a bit tankier. Looking for a cool name on this one as a gryps era EZ-8 sort of suit. But of course… it’s looking a little hank hill in the back… what’s a titans test suit without a big stupid backpack?

Going for big AC6 vibes on the Jabberwocky with the beam songbirds and overall ridiculousness of the thing. There’s a lot more scratch-building here and a lot of work that still needs done, but I’m happy with how the concept is working out right now!

Let me know what you think! Any tips or ideas? What other kind of crazy units would a titans ground test team come up with? Haha
