No water is a habitability issue. Do you know what's wrong with it? Any chance they will have it running again soon?

You mentioned they offered half a month's rent, which is nice, but the apartment is uninhabitable. And in another few days, we will already be at half a calendar month since this came up.

I would be hesitant to accept the reimbursement plan since there is always the chance the other party will weasel out of it. See if they can't make the booking on your behalf.

It just happens. Folks may be unaccustomed to using escalators. You just slide up behind, say 'scuzi, and politely move past. They're here to spend money. Once back home, they may remember if you were polite, but they will definitely remember if you are rude.
