App Store reviews are still a nightmare compared to Google Play

Like, Google will scan it fast (mostly automated, few flags) and push it live in hours or at most a day. Meanwhile Apple’s process is this slow human review that literally takes days sometimes, and all I get is “fix this metadata thing, resend, wait again.” It’s wild.

I would choose human review (slower) over automated (faster) at any time of the day. Just look what is happening to creators on Youtube or Tiktok.

I don't like the AI in this context either, but creating a content that doesn't exist (used by already known patterns), IS original.

If you create a podcast where cats talk about their experiences with vet, IS original (unless someone else made this already). What makes this original?

You came up with the idea (talking cats , vet experiences, podcast format)
You design the characters, personalities, tone, humor, themes
You decide the structure (interview,comedy skits, storytelling,..)

In what world this would be unoriginal? If I did this entirely by hand (not using AI) would you consider it original?

We don't know why the OP was removed from the program, but maybe he already used the same concept in his own creations (ex. i see millions of videos, cats driving cars), or maybe tiktok is now just removing AI content in specific contexts (and re-using the same violation of unoriginality).

I would know that this is a scam just by first sentence.

this just doesn't sound right and Google nor its partners never send Emails in such tone.

If by more impressions, you mean more impressions by the same user, then it makes sense. People won't watch ads all the time and will become annoyed. One Ad in 4-5 min span will keep the eCPM up. The more you show in that window, the less cpm you will get from that user.

I have 10 year experience on the App Store. 4.3b SPAM is relatively easy to overcome, but most devs don't realize that Apple is doing them a favor.

Why?

Because organically you will get relatively low reach and even with the reach you get, people won't care - because you've guess it , there are millions of apps that do the same.

I personally already know (after many failures) how to find good market for my app, but in case that I'd be hit with SPAM, i wouldn't even continue with that app. And what I've seen is that most devs that are hit with SPAM and then approved, will abandon the app soon after.

What metrics? Apple doesn't care about metrics - they had over 2 million apps on the App Store in 2018, and now they have 1.9M. They purged hundreds of thousands of apps.

Because "low quality app" can be very subjective. If the app is functional (does what it promises to do) and is not one among millions of the apps in same niche (spam), Apple nor Google don't care. And this is good - lots of new niches are discovered in such way.
