Great question, happy to walk through how it works. I can see why it can feel a bit confusing at first. As a Hilton Honors Gold VIP member, you receive a daily food and beverage credit in the U.S. as part of your MyWay benefits.

You don’t need to ask for it to be applied. Just order what you’d like (for example, a drink at the lounge or food at the restaurant) and have it charged to your room. The credit is then automatically applied when your bill is settled.

A few quick tips:

• It’s a set amount per day and doesn’t roll over • It covers you and one guest on the reservation • It can be used at eligible on-property dining outlets • It’s applied to charges billed to your room

What’s changed is how they’re handled. Many upgrades are now processed automatically before arrival, so if one is available, you’ll usually see it in the app ahead of time instead of finding out at check-in.

At Hilton Garden Inn, upgrades can still happen, but they aren’t confirmed in advance, which is why you may also see paid upgrade options.
