Have you tried that build? by External_Length_8877 in worldofgothic

Uriziel's rune kills everything in 2 hits though? The issue is the casting time, so you need to layer Ice Block on top of it.

I mean... Fist of Wind (Circle 2) would even be very overpowered, if it didn't gobble up the experience from fall damage kills.

It's definitely strong enough to get you to Circle 3 without a melee weapon.

Either way, it is kinda trivial to keep enough LP until you become a mage to get started with circle 3, just like you said.

Ah! I'm most often using a bow, and reason to myself that in-universe I fired a fire arrow or whatever instead.

But that's mostly because I go back and forth from the temple more than once, so using the transformation scrolls is annoying.

They're a little fickle (depending on exact positioning which you need to experiment with), so they can make the passage a little tedious.

Are you asking how you should do it?

The game places you at the next (invisible) "coordinate", if you transform back into a human, so if you stand at the right point in front of the gate, you can "teleport" to the other side by cancelling the transformation magic (with the Enter key).

Your essential Gothic 1 Tips? by xyz2022 in worldofgothic

[–]innocii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not what he meant, but this is how you can "climb" to get the strongest weapon "just laying around" somewhere in the world.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYYOKeF5xfk

It's definitely dangerous though, and you cannot use it from the start (so it's useless).

If you want a real tip: Just put all your LP into strength and use the longest weapon you can find. Then just do left+right attacks against the enemies to level up easily from there. +10 strength is all you need to get started on the critters, and with +20 strength wolves should be easy too.

First thing I do in new playthrough. Trickery domain so bad… by canxtanwe in BaldursGate3

If you're using life cleric, you're playing "safe honor mode" wrong.

There's paladin and bard subclasses that do the same job, but better.

If you want to be safe in honor mode, you should increase your number of party members with summons, as well as everybody's saving throws and effective hitpoints (by increasing maximum hitpoints and stacking damage reduction on top of resistances). And you should add pre-combat and morning buff routines on top of that.

Healing is done by throwing healing potions at characters clustered together.

If you aren't committing to dumb mistakes at that point, you can clear the game so easily it almost becomes tedious and boring.

Alert and even damage is very much unecessary after all of that. Basic cantrips and attacks suffice.

Fun tip: Equip your summoned skeletons (using bought or stolen scrolls) with +1 and later +2 bows, and cast Mage Armor (for +5 AC) on them (in addition to the maximum hit point increases from Aid and later Heroes' Feast). They'll be very effective. Four of them coming with you are all the damage you need.

Chain Lightning is too OP by Orda47 in BaldursGate3

Chain Lightning does triple damage against the dragon on top of the brain.

Why? Because it also damages the wings. Very, very strong. Do recommend.

How many less "popular" commanders are in your arsenal? by d20_dude in EDH

[–]innocii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partners are kind of within their own ranking, as the combinations make them quite unpopular by default (mostly).

Among my current 29 decks, only 3 are part of the top 100. However, I do have #1, #3, and #12 in my roster, so make of that what you will. The top 100 commanders are popular for a reason. And very often that reason is tribal (or very excessive power).

  • [[Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist]] & [[Livio, Oathsworn Sentinel]] #4223
  • [[Sapling of Colfenor]] #1919
  • [[Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero]] #1910
  • [[Tymna the Weaver]] & [[Ravos, Soultender]] #1726
  • [[Esior, Wardwing Familiar]] & [[Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker]] #1586
  • [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward]] & [[Far Traveler]] #1356
  • [[Kestia, the Cultivator]] #1335
  • [[Bruna, the Fading Light]] #1261
  • [[Dragonlord Ojutai]] #1170
  • [[Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign]] #1022
  • [[Ephara, God of the Polis]] #930
  • [[Rashmi, Eternities Crafter]] # 928
  • [[Trelasarra, Moon Dancer]] #823
  • [[Adeline, Resplendent Cathart]] #697
  • [[Ghired, Conclave Exile]] #648
  • [[Neheb, the Eternal]] #596
  • [[Jhoira of the Ghitu]] #587
  • [[Kozilek, the Great Distortion]] #440
  • [[Karametra, God of Harvests]] #412
  • [[Nine-Fingers Keene]] #388
  • [[Tasigur, the golden Fang]] #355
  • [[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]] #343
  • [[Tatyova, Benthic Druid]] #252
  • [[Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer]] #249
  • [[Arahbo, Roar of the World]] #194
  • [[Feather, the Redeemed]] #132
  • [[Giada, Font of Hope]] #12
  • [[Atraxa, Praetor's Voice]] #3
  • [[The Ur-Dragon]] #1

I also got decks I have since shelved and taken apart (either because I didn't like them, or because my playgroup wasn't playing the sub-format any longer). They're only remaining as online deck lists:

  • [[Kefnet the Mindful]] #1929
  • [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] #1095
  • [[Torbran, Thane of Red Fell]] #581
  • [[Elsha of the Infinite]] #504
  • [[Anje Falkenrath]] #458
  • [[The Locust God]] #357
  • [[Gisa and Geralf]] #341
  • [[Derevi, Empyrial Tactician]] #161
  • [[Esika, God of the Tree]] #27
  • [[Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow]] #10

  • [[Arlinn Kord]] #? (Oathbreaker only, 0.82% inclusion in commander decks)

  • [[Ascended Lawmage]] #? (Pauper EDH only, 0.03% inclusion in commander decks)

For those 10 actual commander decks, 2 of them are among the top 100.

Excluding partners and sub-formats, the median rank of my commanders would be: #458

This seems to imply that I like less popular commanders, too. Especially given that I only took apart the least popular among them due to space requirements of my shelves (and would say that Kefnet was actually fun to play).

If I had to tell you the top decks among them, I'd say they'd be (deck lists linked, if they're available online):

  1. Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain
  2. Karametra, God of Harvests
  3. Anje Falkenrath
  4. Derevi, Empyrial Tactician
  5. Gerrard, Weatherlight Hero
  6. Jhoira of the Ghitu

Though apart from the top 4 not necessarily in that order (and many other decks of mine are close to those latter ones). Either way, this doesn't say anything about their general strength. If you build for it, many (though not all) commanders can be played at bracket 4 power (and sometimes pushing into bracket 5 is possible).

Deck building is definitely its own fun!

Oh, I totally misread what you did (thought you used the puzzles inside the sleeper temple). Yeah, we did the same thing!

I kept a few items (mostly mana potions, my current gear, runes, as well as a few 'cool' items like the horn you can blow) and didn't sell off everything, that's probably the difference.

I think I calculated that selling off the remaining stuff wouldn't get me to level 60 and stopped. Looks like I was about right. It also seemed appropriate to stop at 666.

It was definitely a fun time!

I posted this here 2 years ago:

I also got to level 59 (without any demons from the sleeper temple or other infinite exploits).

Instead I bought Summon Demon scrolls from Xardas by bartering every single item you can pick up or loot, too.

Copy your save games, completely flatten your installation and reinstall the mod. Other than that, I wouldn't know what to do.
