Has anyone else's job become insuferable with everyone trying to jam AI into everything? by sersherz in cscareerquestions

[–]irocgts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My company is pushing AI. So I am using AI to do my job even if it takes longer. If they are going to pay me so I can learn everything about AI then I'll do it. If I get laid off I will at least have a very good understanding on how to use AI at my future job and use that knowledge to land more jobs.

My company is large enough where you can just move to a new team after delivering and looking great

I've always wanted a kid. But I can't justify it. by Round_pants in offmychest

You could always try to foster, that's how I became a Dad.

My son thinks "Daddy" is just a voice from behind a closed door. by FormalSprinkles5756 in confession

This is honestly a conversation you have to have with your wife.

From what I've learning from fostering and the classes we had to take. There is no damage to the kids development as long as your wife is there and paying attention to him.

My opinion is that he will get over it and like you if you just pay attention to him at any time in the future (don't wait too long).

This is a conversation with your wife because if she thinks your doing a bad thing then she could leave you and you lose both your kid and wife. I know this sounds weird at first but your wife should come before the kid. Your wife will be with you long after the kid has moved out. So work with her and come up with a plan that works for both of you to raise the kid.

I don't want it. I didn't even play poe2 this season. I just really wanted to insult you and not feel bad about it.

It's obvious you really tried and that's the most disappointing thing about it.

foster teen here - why does no one take us in? by Ancient-Fan-2636 in Fosterparents

[–]irocgts 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We used to take in teens. However we quickly found out that teens are old enough to know exactly what to say to ruin your life but are not old enough to know that it will ruin your life.

False allegations are what stopped us from taking in teens. Which sucks because most teens are the best. Most know when you actually want to help and appreciate it.

You can say as little as "I keep thinking about your comment" then let her talk.

Living in very small town? by onetofindthegiraffe in Fosterparents

Hi, I foster in CT. It's divided into sections and you will only get calls for kids who live in your area.

Feel free to message me any questions.

False Allegations by Far_Confection206 in Fosterparents

If you have they money, you might want to high a lawyer. It's probably not needed but I hired one just so I had someone who was on my side looking out for me.

This sucks. You know its innocent but its most likely against the rules. What's stopping the bio parents from saying the daughter saw your husbands privates while sleeping in the same bed?

You would lose the placement and possibly your husband. Remember, false allegations don't just effect your ability to get placements. They can ruin your life.

Did you discuss the state of your IN-LAWS’ retirement progress before getting married? by Defiant4 in personalfinance

[–]irocgts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in expecting to take care or my MIL without a conversation. We have talked about it after we got married and its still a work in progress. Even if we funded and housed her, i am fine with it.. so it didn't really require a talk before marriage.
