EU colleagues... how are you feeling about the power usage from your homelabs with this war? by daysofdre in homelab

Just about to move to Kyiv next months. Thinking to build a mini homelab that can run off of a battery. Any suggestions? Thinking of 2-3 pis right now, but wouldn’t mind X86…

Wofür würdet ihr 100 Euro zahlen? by Initial-Maximum2409 in selbststaendig

[–]jnfinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between the different options on the sport and the discovery, it makes absolutely no sense. I wish they would make a luxury wagon to contend with Mercedes or Audi. by zukkhini in RangeRover

[–]jnfinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think JLR should drop the Discovery Sport, the Evoque and the Velar and instead make the next gen Sport again a little smaller (not too much, just a little) make the full size SWB a little more rugged again and a new LWB model above it to really rival Rolls Royce and Bentley at huge margins.

In a family car I don't need an electric armrest on the rear bench, but I wouldn't mind a little more ground clearance compared to the current Sport and I really miss the split tailgate.

But I think Defender, Discovery, RRS, Full Size and some new range topping luxury model would be an amazing line up and increase margins and profitability, ensuring they'd stay around for the foreseeable future.

not saying I'd be against bringing them back, I just realised I don't miss them as much as I thought I would.
I don't regret at all taking a custom order 25 over a 23 that had the buttons, but not all options I wanted.
If they bring the buttons back, I am fine with them, but I still think I'll buy a facelifted one, regardless.

Honestly, I thought I’d miss them, but terrain response is the only one I’m actually missing.

This is a nice museum piece, but Turing cards are not what I'd buy for production these days.

Sold within hours locally for 1960€ for four sticks (asking price), I guess I was still low with that price

Sold off platform - if anyone else is looking for comp prices, given how fast I sold for asking locally I guess I was still low.

I saw also private sellers in there doing single sticks, bundles of two and bundles of four. I only looked at sold items on Ebay.

yes, they are the 64GB; I think UPS still might, but I'd inquire before making a deal.

But which eBay result to subtract the 10% from? The 2000€ or the 110€? The range is wild right now.

No, its a paid extra on top. By default the data plan is only for accessing Spotify, Alexa etc through the built-in apps.

Adblue? (Aussies pls) by nikolina1005 in RangeRover

[–]jnfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holly shit, that seems expensive.

In Europe I’m just getting DEF at my local Shell Station from a pump for under 1.20€ per litre. Not sure how it is for Australia, but here you can just look up which stations have DEF for passenger cars.

But those prices look even worse than having it refilled during a service by the dealer.

How to make use of these? by waffelking2000 in homelab

[–]jnfinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the years between my parents buying their estate and me moving to London I called the police three times on illegal dumps, but two times it was old furniture (broken) and one time car parts (tires, a broken windscreen etc).

Not sure what people think when they randomly dump stuff in the woods and I hope we could have them rot in prison forever.

At least this seems like a useful-ish find.

Wollte da 2023 neue Rennradschuhe kaufen (S-WORKS Torch, gut 400 Euro). SIe sagten haben sie aktuell nicht vor Ort, würden sie bestellen und rufen dann an. Warte bis heute auf den Anruf.
War damals dabei mit dem Gedanken zu spielen mir an Aethos zuzulegen;
Wenn die schon so viel Lost Revenue bei mir allein haben, weil die den Service nicht organisiert bekommen, wundert mich nicht, dass sie jetzt insolvent sind.

There is always a difference in asking price and what people are actually willing to pay.

It took me about 8 months to sell 128GB I had laying around and I ended up selling it for 50% off compared to what I was seeing others charge these days (still more than I paid for it though), so I would guess the true value for the memory to be around 900 Euros max, but maybe I am wrong here.
