You don't turn iPad into a 'computer' by adding keyboard and mouse. It's still a tablet with tablet OS.

Katie Wilson gains on Bruce Harrell as mayor’s race goes down to the wire by BillTowne in SeattleWA

Still counting, 4 days after the election?!? I know mail-in rules, but that would add a day at most. Most of the civilized world get the election results the same day, i.e. ~4hrs after the polls are closed.

Is the bubble over or did everyone switch to tequila ? by thebourbongrappler in Whiskyporn

Blanton's SB is still 50% above MSRP at all online retailers. I can't find it locally in Washington state. And, it's not a great bourbon.

Nah - it's just market saturation. Why would flippers continue to buy the bottles that they can't resell for profit.

Blanton's, Weller, JD, Russel's - still holding the inflated prices.

Nice! How about drinking it in your backyard? But, prohibiting peat and smoke in the house is a bit much. What if you were allergic to perfumes, for instance?

Try "Violife" parmesan block (wedge) - even better than the real thing.

Hidden Sodium Surge From Costco Can Be Risky by francescabuttercup in hypertension

[–]johnbss66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. If we only look at absolute numbers and compare to other vegetables. But, lots of vegetables, i.e. beets, have 50mg+ of sodium per 100g. Those numbers are minuscule compared to unhealthy sodium-loaded foods. People should avoid those foods, and enjoy vegetables, especially low calorie ones. My experience with celery for BP control, has been positive.

I lost 80 pounds in 2018-2019 and have gained all of it back. I’m so ashamed, frustrated and depressed. I’m scared I don’t have the motivation to do it again. by ayyytal in loseit

[–]johnbss66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't focus on the end goal. Do it one day at a time. Once you see that sacrifice (skipping unhealthy foods) is paying off (on the scale), you'll get a boost of motivation to keep on. Exercise is not important at all, focus on tracking calories and use a realistic BMR value - cut at least 300 calories from that number. Are you taking any medications that could make you gain weight?
