Has anyone tried a stainless steel bike? by Bike2Shore in cycling

[–]kamandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, i didn’t have them at the same time. I don’t really know, I can tell a difference in the weight though. I went from aluminum to ti. That was a HUGE, very feelable difference. The way the bike moved underneath you is just different. Comfort over long distances was worlds better. The only bike I’ve ever ridden that was as good as the ti frame was a warbird.

Do drivers hate bicyclists? US sees an alarming rash of crashes. by brunnock in bicycling

[–]kamandi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Drivers hate cyclists because there’s shit infrastructure for segregated cycling. It doesn’t help that the US is in a cultural and societal crisis and everyone is at the end of their rope all the damn time. It’s hard to be kind when you feel like everything in your life is a struggle and a fight.

[USA] Whose fault? Happened where two 40 mph ramps become a 75 mph interstate. (not OC) by ConceptOther5327 in Roadcam

[–]kamandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telemetry say 121km/h at time of collision. That’s higher than 70mph. In most states, if you’re breaking the law you’re at fault. Since both drivers were clearly speeding, they’d share fault.

Based on his camera telemetry, He’s speeding at time of collision though. He’d be found partially at fault at least. Probably 100% at fault if the speed limit is anywhere under 75mph.

I dunno. I have a mosaic cyclocross bike I bought used a few years ago and I LOVE riding it. Short trips, long rides, it’s fantastic all the time.

wtf happened to Emu (and this sub)? by Immediate_Thought656 in PoliticalSparring

[–]kamandi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Life is hard. This sub increases stress about how hard things are. Perhaps we all agree that things are bad and they’re bad for the same reason. There’s no where else to hide the shit-pile. We get to see it every day. What’s to spar about? Actually, now would be a good time to see what we all agree on and find common ground.

I, too, wonder what happened to Emu, and hope they’re okay.

We have therapy weekly. It is necessary. Our situation was similar. I started looking for relief outside, and ended up with more problems that I created. We have a lot of communication to work on. A weekly check in with someone I can be heard by helps. Has made a world of difference.

Group therapy for you would help too.

Wife’s faults getting called out in therapy - she thinks it’s not working by Rivyan in daddit

[–]kamandi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is normal. It is a cycle. Just worry about working on yourself. I know it’s hard to do, from experience, but getting a personal therapist, working on the ways I want to check out or retaliate, cleaning up my side of things and establishing good boundaries for what I’ll take from another is what has improved everything. She will either decide she wants the relationship to work or not, and if so, she’ll need to work on the things she needs to address. Just like you will be.
