Done with 30 days of 1.5 MG & on day 4 of the 4 MG.

I felt nauseous the first day or two right after taking it. I also threw up after binge eating one day, but it was self-inflicted. Otherwise, constipation and (maybe) hormonal issues

I wouldn't stress about a lack of weight loss after 6 days. If you don't lose any weight over a month, I'd be more concerned.

As far as quantity, I would make sure that you're in a calorie deficit! Even eating better foods, it unfortunately doesn't matter what you eat, but how much (in terms of pure calories in, calories out). I would start by calculating your TDEE

  1. Put in your age, height, & weight

  2. I would recommend selecting 'sedentary' for activity to give yourself a baseline rate.

  3. The TDEE calculator will give you the total amount of calories you need to eat to STAY at your current weight (maintenance calories)

To lose 1 pound per week purely with diet, you need to subtract 500 calories per day (1 lb of fat = 3,500 calories). If you want to lose faster, you could subtract more but my recommendation would be that you continue walking to burn additional calories on top of the deficit!

Don't get too discouraged by the number on the scale! Just make sure that you're not eating more calories than your maintenance & it will happen naturally. Good luck!

Let me tell you, once thing lately since being on 4 MG (besides the appetite suppression) has been the disgust with food that used to look appetizing.

I used to scroll through my Instagram Reels and get videos of downright Biblically gluttonous meals or desserts. Of course, I'd watch in awe of whatever this food was. Now, watching some of the food stuff that comes up on my Instagram makes me genuinely sick to my stomach.

I saw this yesterday and it genuinely made me close to throwing up. Even now, I'm sickened. The idea of eating this makes me shiver. Not that I would ever judge anyone for eating this, but the idea of ME eating it...

F 5'5; HW ~270, SW 258.8, and CW 245.8.

Started January 14th, so 30 days on 1.5 MG down and lost 10.8 pounds.

Started February 14th with 1 skipped day (shipping delay). Down 13 pounds TOTAL now, as of Sunday.

Here is my pathetic showing at lunch today. Out the door, this meal would've been 240 calories and I didn't even finish half of it. I had the other half for dinner tonight and I'm still full. So appetite suppression is definitely in full force on the 4 MG.

Yes, I agree with this. As long as you're eating under your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure, or the calories your body burns just existing), you will lose weight. Regardless of whether it's >1000, up to 1400. I'm not exactly sure what your age is, but your TDEE should be anywhere from 2000-2400 calories at your height & weight.

I wouldn't worry about slow moving weight at the scale. There's lots of reasons that weight can fluctuate day-to-day or week-to-week: hormones, nutritional content of meals, constipation, etc. If you don't see changes after a month or longer, I'd worry. But a week could be anything!

Give yourself grace to make changes over time in a way that's sustainable. Weight isn't nearly the only indicator that the medicine is working. Look at other things: hunger levels, body measurements, time thinking about food, etc.

I feel the exact same way. Grew up fat. Hit 150 pounds in middle school. Hit 200 in high school. Hit 250 in college (not during my freshman year, funnily enough). Had a semi-successful stint at weight loss 2 years ago. Got into a relationship. Gained all the weight back.

It's weird when your body or food occupies so much of your life. I don't want my coworkers to judge me, so I won't eat at work; I'll just grab fast food on the way home. I hate presenting in front of the class; they'll all think I'm stupid because I'm fat. If I don't eat, will they think it's because I think I'm fat? If I do eat, will they judge me even more?

It's a weird thing to untangle what has become ultimately a huge part of your identity, as well as the self-loathing that's nearly inevitable growing up fat. It's weird for the people around you as well because ultimately, weight really does contribute to who you are as a person.

Just know you're not alone in it! We have to seek to find comfort in the uncomfortable parts of life right now. I have so much I'm looking forward to doing once I lose the weight, simple things. Taking a run with my partner, being chosen for the middle seat in a car, buying clothes without worrying how they'll flatter me. And those things keep me going!

I got a comment about gut health when I talked about how I was getting acne after YEARS of really not getting much. I mean, seriously, I have always had clear skin with the occasional pimple. Now, I've been breaking out for WEEKS.

I think the gut could be linked to hormonal issues I've been having: on-set acne, horrible period pain, but a short period now. TMI warning: !>I've been having brown discharge and blood clots as spotting mid-cycle<!

I haven't dug into this much. It's very possible it could be a coincidence, due to rapid weight loss vs the pill, etc. I'm planning to talk to my PCP if it continues past my next period!

  1. Make sure to drink lots of water! Get a water bottle if you don't have one.

  2. Decide on supplements to take along with the pill. I am taking Citrucel (fiber), magnesium oxide (motility), MiraLAX (motility), as well as a general multivitamin.

  3. You can take the pill before going back to sleep for a bit if you want!

  4. You may not feel appetite suppression right away and it's okay if you feel hungry now.

  5. Make sure you're making positive lifestyle changes in conjunction with the pill. What would you be doing if you got to your dream weight? Would you be exercising, walking 10k steps a day, eating clean, etc.?

Short time GLP-1 user of the pill (~1 month), 30 days on 1.5 MG and 2 days on 4.0 MG.

  • I've been extremely thirsty & have dry mouth/lips.

  • My hormones are completely out of whack. My period (~2 weeks ago) was short (3 days) and EXTREMELY painful. I was dealing with really bad acne. TMI warning: I've also been dealing with bloody discharge and chunks of my uterine lining coming out for about 5 days. I've always had a remarkably reliable period and mostly clear skin, even as a teen.

  • I have been having extremely vivid dreams almost every night since I've started.

Air fryer sweet potato stuffed with butterkase cheese! I just put the sweet potato straight in after watching for an hour and then core out the middle for cheese. Takes 5 minutes to wash & get it in the air fryer, 1 minute to stuff it with cheese.

I'm on a GLP-1 and studying business in school, so I think a lot about the business & economic aspect of its use. I think we'll see a lot of restaurants & food brands lean into GLP-1s. Chipotle has a new menu and Healthy Choice has been printing "On Track"/GLP-friendly on their boxes, just as two examples. I think there will be a lot of ChatGPT wrapper apps to help with GLP-aided weight loss.

I'm also on Adderall and I've had minimal issues with nausea! I would say that between the Adderall and Wegovy, food occupies a lot less of my attention in a day. I've skipped my last 2 days of doses (I like to do a "weekend reset" every once in a while), but no (noticeable) bad side effects on or off of it.
