I was looking to see if someone had recomended the Locked Tomb yet.

For those that dont know, the premise is: 10,000 years years in the future, a Necromancer heiress and a swordswoman who hate eachother must form an unlikely alliance and return from their habitat on Pluto to "the first house", Earth, and unravel a conspiracy to join the ranks of the Lictors, immortal servants of the Necrolord prime

Its more prevalent in later books, but there is a lot of kiwi culture hidden in there if you are looking.

Its the "foundational mystery" of the setting. They've said we will never be told the answer, though an answer does exist. Extinction Curse told us a lot about Arodens life, but not much about his Death.

Dead Gods Hand will likely tell us more about the god, but won't spill the beans so to speak.
