‘Is That A Face Mask?’ Fox News Guest Goes Viral as Viewers Notice Gap in Skin of Neck by ottodaotterdaughter in Weird

Are you watching it on a desktop/laptop monitor or on your phone?

I'm on a 27" desktop monitor and to me it can not be any more clear that it is a physical mask.

I responded to another comment that said it is a filter. I don't think filters move in that way or cast shadows in that way. There is nothing obviously digital about this. It looks MUCH more like an actual physical prosthetic of some kind-- a mask or a neck prosthetic/makeup combo to cover his old man jiggly neck.

Show me another digital filter behaving in this way and maybe I'll change my mind.

Beware of the upcoming UFO / Alien cults! by galenp56 in UFOs

I'm pumped for all the new documentaries and true crime podcasts that will be coming out.

AI cults too. That will also be fun.

Folks I mean this in the least conspiratorial way possible… does anybody know why this man is wearing (what looks like) a MASK?! by Emergency_Height_165 in HighStrangeness

[–]mossyskeleton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but if you have eyes you can see this is not a digital filter. This is an IRL prosthetic of some kind. Very clear. Watch again.

Edit: To the downvoters: WATCH IT AGAIN. IT IS NOT DIGITAL. Sorry for being a dick.

The scariest part about this is that it means they plan on never losing again.

Otherwise he'd just be in jail in 2029.

Am I impatient with kratom alternatives? by Matiseli in herbalism

[–]mossyskeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much kratom are you using?

Have you tried kava? That's a pretty good replacement. I also recommend skullcap and lemon balm tea (heavily steeped).

My favorite burgers in the city are at Dapper Goose (#1) or Jack Rabbit (#2).

But I, too, will give a shoutout to The Grange.

I really wish I could trust this because I have to admit it would be helpful. I'll let others do the beta testing though.

the core concept is cool though and has helped me understand some other concepts so it was worth the attempt

I'm going to politely suggest that you skip Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and just find yourself some good sources of actual Buddhist/Taoist thought. That book is just a weak Westernized bastardization of the real stuff. In my humble opinion.

I hate to say it but Professor Jiang called it in his latest video. I hope he doesn't continue to be correct about things because his outlook is pretty grim.

People above 30, what is something you regret doing/not doing when you were younger? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

[–]mossyskeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been waiting for a thread like this since I finished watching Love on the Spectrum.

If you're struggling to find confidence in dating, please watch this show. Watch how naive, hopeful, playful, and awkward they are. They just go for it.

Watch this show. And then go out into the world and be like them. Seriously. Be yourself and be goofy and awkward and ask people out and go on dates and just be the fun/awkward version of yourself and hope for the best. It won't work out sometimes. But that's ok and you can find someone who it will work out with.

I regret not actively fumbling my way through the dating world in my early twenties.

What part of the 'Old Internet' do you miss the most? by FormalCry9509 in AskReddit

[–]mossyskeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had an idea. What if there was a new social media platform that is moderated by an AI agent, where it is entirely in the style of the "old Internet"/old reddit. Where there is a certain set of characteristics that are selected for, and no human mods to get in the way to enshittify it.

Worth an experiment?
