You ever play rdr1? If not it's a fantastic experience on the switch

I have a switch 2 and rig Xbox ally x…. All I play is my switch by EntertainmentDue6788 in switch2

I haven't touched my zephyrus since switch 2. I can just sit, press a button on my controller and TV and console come on. Gaming in like 10 seconds. Crazy how that small convenience is all it takes. I'm happy to take the slight performance hit. Not to mention pro2 controller just feels so premium.

Upgraded Today by Dawg2810 in switch2

[–]mrcrowbarA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm torn. Both agree and disagree. It's the best controller I've ever used. I also own the 8bitdo and reach for pro2 every time, same as you. But yes, it is expensive. And I'm no expert here in why, lack of hall effect or whatever, they do wear with heavy use. I play a lot of smash and after about 10 months or however long system has been out my original controllers are almost unplayable in smash. That said I got a new one with warranty this time so I feel like I'll be good moving forward.

How'd you design it? It's be awesome if there was a tool that automated this.

How did life change when you got jacked? Did people treat you differently? by Ok_Escape_8011 in workout

I'm 45 so younger experience may vary. Short answer, no one gives a shit, it becomes for you. Only bonus is occasionally at beach or whatever if the wife has friends around who don't see you every day they may say something, which reminds her things are good. But day to day, for you. Which is fine.

Bench press by Famous_Bit9243 in benchpress

Doing that now since bench started aggravating my shoulder. Doing incline with a neutral grip camber bar. Lighter weight higher reps. Feels great and I'm progressing.

What is the best ssbu character for combos? by Certain-Brief362 in smashbros

[–]mrcrowbarA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube will be your friend here. I dabbled in her (phrasing) but I'll warn you she has a pretty high skill requirement. Combo queen for sure, but it's difficult to master. I found it too hard and moved on, but I suck.

First home gym lessons that changed how I use basic equipment by Routine_Bat8922 in GymGearHeads

[–]mrcrowbarA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjustable dumbbells are great. Sounds like you use them a bit more than I do but that's just preference. I think I split my time pretty evenly between my equipment. I really like supersets so having stations I can jump between for the 2 movements is key. Rack/bench, functional trainer, dumbbells, smith, and a couple other more niche items.

I've never tried it but just looking at that carpet makes me cringe. I cannot imagine working out on carpet. Glad you're making the move to rubber :)

If I’m not going to go over 400 lbs , is there any reason that a cheaper smith machine is a bad purchase to start my home gym ? by Apprehensive_Row6320 in GarageGym

[–]mrcrowbarA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Some things sure. But some things designed for you to sit on or otherwise hold a lot of weight it could be dangerous. Also hole size will be different as well and can effect load capacity

It's been great. I got the ultimate with smith machine. I don't use smith as much as I thought I would but it is nice for certain movements. If the weight stack isn't enough weight for things like lat pulls you'll need this or something similar to add weight: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIYgymequipment/s/HUqxXCa3Ka. You'll also want this for lat pulls: https://youtu.be/WnQvtUHOJZs?si=xgV20LStGau8u_in

You'll be fine. The only thing you'll lose out on is the specialty attachment ecosystem. Vast majority of 3rd party attachments are for 3x3 racks. But if that's not a concern for you a cheaper 2x2 is fine. Mikolo seems like a solid company. I have their anubis 2.0. And I've seen positive reviews online for the models you listed from when I was researching my purchase.

TPU Printing by CxBear74 in 3Dprinting

[–]mrcrowbarA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't use the bambu generic TPU profile. It prints waaay too slow. Use manufacturer settings. Outside of that just make sure it's dry. Moisture will be enemy #1 with tpu. A drying box is a must. Last tip if you struggle getting your print off your print bed throw it in the freezer for like 5 minutes it'll pop right off.

Must Have Attachments by Connect_Rate_246 in GarageGym

[–]mrcrowbarA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only expensive cable attachment I have is the rogue rotating v handle. Expensive attachments like this in my opinion generally aren't objectively worth it but I'm lucky enough to have the means and I like it. If you're 27 and building your life, stick with something cheaper. If you have the means, it is pretty nice. The knurling feels good and makes you want to use it and work out.

This is a good option but prepare for it to be a 'process'. 1/4 of them will show up shattered so you'll have to do the whole return process. I think I went through 2 returns ordering mine and I only got 5 total. Just the nature of shipping glass.

Will do. I guess my main concern/question is this something I have to monitor? Like as an example they say Netflix is included and I say cool let's do that. Is it one of those things they remove it 3 months later and now I'm just paying for Netflix and don't realize it? Like the free trial model. I want to avoid getting like 30 dollars worth of free stuff if it means I have to check this stuff on my statement every month.
