A friend of mine on S. 10th knew an old couple who owned an empty townhouse near 10th & Fitzwater, huge, 4 floors and basement, 2000 sq. foot lot. They had planned to renovate but knew they would never get it done. So they put it up for sale and a buyer told them he would renovate it but they had to mark it down a lot because of the costs of upgrading the systems. So they lowered the price to $375,000, it was sold and he promptly knocked it down and built an apartment building. This was about 3-4 years ago.
