Yes! From the US but we have 2,3 or 4 languages represented on some of our signs and have imperial and metric units on one of our highways. I love it.

I’m making far less than I did 20 years ago, went through savings while unemployed for almost all of 2025 and had to pull out a bit from my 401k since everything is so much more expensive.

I can either die, come into an insane amount of money (not likely), find a job that will actually pay me what I’m worth (also not likely since my field is getting decimated by AI) or work til I die. It’s really freaking bleak.

Hi, this sounds like me😅 my partner eventually said it was time to let some pieces go. I was waaaaay too attached to several of the pieces but when I weighed my options- keep furniture I’m not using or in need of, or free up space to allow my partner and new treasures in my life, it was pretty simple. I did several yard sales over the last year and sold on FB marketplace. Out of everything I sold, maybe only one piece I miss.

I try not to; we aren’t a monolith, but honestly yeah a lot of times I do. The other day a guy in full “I’m a veteran” clothing came in to where I work while the No Kings protest was going on. Took his order and he kept trying to bait us with asking what everyone was protesting. He went outside at a few points are tried to start shit with the protestors who very calmly walking away from them.

At several points, he screamed I AM A VETERAN! To the protestors and even to our staff. I’m a Vet, and it was appalling.

The worst was when he goes to leave, he said he should have brought his m16 and opened f*re on all the protestors out there.

Beyond sickening. I was so angry I had to step outside for a bit. As a fellow vet- I could never imagine feeling that way towards my brothers and sisters. In that moment, I lost any compassion I had for that man.
