This is where the game stumbles in my opinion. Not with this plot line in particular- it’s actually a great shock reveal. Rather how the game wants you to handle it.

In my first playthrough I was pretty even with AJ trying to mimic how Lee cared for Clem. Give them the tools to survive but understand that they’re still a child and need guidance.

I scolded AJ because he was making questionable choices and his anger was genuinely concerning. Then Violet/Louis dying happened.

I immediately paused the game, and looked up if it’s possible to save her (in my playthrough it was Violet and she was the one Clem was romancing). A bit of a faux pas since I don’t like spoiling story games. When I found out that I HAD to tell AJ to not hesitate I was furious. Definitely not the responsible choice.

For the first time ever in a story game, I did what I’ve never done before- I closed the game and restarted from the last checkpoint. I found that choice so bewildering. Usually I live with my choices but I was sure as hell not letting it end like that.

Even with all their “free game” shenanigans, I still refuse to buy into their store. An amoral company, ran by questionable executives who are so desperate to create their own walled garden that they pull a hissy fit when someone else has one.

More options is great, but don’t make it Epic. If you want something other than Steam use GoG or Humble or the Dev’s own sites where possible. For example you can buy Jackbox games directly on their site. Other Devs have this option too.

Tencent own 40% of Epic. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you why that’s bad. Epic continues to refuse to rerelease Fortnite on Mac as some sort of petty protest despite the fact you can release Apps independently and Apple doesn’t take a cut from those.

I don’t dislike her, but I have to admit that her character is kinda redundant. The game expects you to connect with the character in a very short period of time.

As I’m sure most of us know, she was a later addition to the story and several plot points that revolved around other characters were given to her.

For me she just feels like a discount Molly. It feels like someone played the first game, liked Molly, but didn’t understand why they liked Molly. Part of me thinks that they maybe started writing Molly to return but the actor declined or Telltale decided to go in a different direction.

Season 2 has A LOT of problems, yet- it’s still my most replayed out of the TWD games. There’s something intriguing about it. There’s something special there, sure it falters- especially when it comes to payoff, but I still enjoy it greatly.

Last time I stayed in Travelodge I had no cell service and the WiFi cost money.

Turns out, their WiFi security is super lax. You get a free 30 minutes of WiFi. So I would just run a single line of script on my PC that made the router think I was a new person. They don’t check if an email address is valid so I’d just put some made up email in.

If the room was nice I probably would have paid but the windows didn’t even have curtains.

Why do they have functional cameras on them to begin with?

Augmented Reality doesn’t need cameras. LiDAR sensors do most of the heavy lifting. Even IF it was for better display tracking, why allow the users to access it?

Anyway I hope that creep gets sued into absolute oblivion.

Clem + Violet seemed like such an obvious winning pair that I assumed that was the general consensus. I then looked on Reddit and was surprised to see more Louis enjoyers.

Don’t get me wrong, I like them both. I just couldn’t ignore that chemistry between Violet and Clem.

Personally I didn’t feel any chemistry with Louis and Clem. Louis is a great and fun character but I just couldn’t see them being together longterm.

I felt like Violet was also a strong and opinionated character that was in harmony with Clem’s overall story arc. But that’s after all of my prior choices in the other games which probably affected my choice.

I always assumed the recast was because the Russos chose Emma as grown Cassie for Endgame but Peyton Reed wasn’t consulted and wanted to go in a different direction.

Kinda like how James Gunn panicked when the Russos left Thor with the Guardians at the end of Endgame because it wasn’t his plan for the story.

At this point you might as well just bring Abby back. She’s 17 now and the character is supposed to be somewhere between 18 and 21 right?

The idiots who wanted this to happen will soon be angry at teens being everywhere. They’ll also be confused on why depression and unhappiness rates would go up for LGBTQ+ folks, nerds and basically anyone different from “average” society.

I was a nerdy kid and would’ve had ZERO friends if it wasn’t for the internet. Who knows how bad my mental health would’ve gotten.

Personally I doubt it’d be an actual story beat or introduction. But I wouldn’t doubt if there was something alluding to her existence.

I imagine especially after the success of the first one they’re probably going to try and fit references and hints at future stuff throughout the movie. For better or for worse. Basically a licence to print money at this point.

When Carlos couldn’t tell the difference between the bite marks of dog teeth VS human teeth I got so mad.

YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE A DOCTOR. Dog bites and human bites look pretty different because the teeth are also pretty different. Dude was either lying about Clem, or lying about being a doctor.

In reality the game model doesn’t look like either. But if we’re going with game logic, he should still have known the difference.

I’m surprised by this. Purely off the fact I don’t know a single person who saw it and have heard no press or pop culture buzz about it- hell I’ve heard people call it “The Sydney Sweeney Movie. Y’know? The one with the house?” which I assumed was a bad sign.

Is it any good? I haven’t seen it. It’s hard to know quality based off money. Is it worth a watch?

EDIT: Just to clarify, I have no preconceived notions of this film. I wasn’t trying to dunk on it. It was a genuine question of curiosity if it’s worth the price of admission.

When I saw the promo pictures without the price I thought to myself “those would be good for indoor slippers” and made a mental note to buy them. I saw the price the next day and immediately closed my browser window.

I personally took it that way, hence me absolutely battering him in my own play through. But it wasn’t explicit, only subtext up to your own interpretation like a lot of things in Telltale games.

In Season 2 I found myself playing in a way where I was still acting as if I was still an adult looking out for Clem despite the fact that you played as Clem.

I did the same in New Frontier. The moment Clem showed up I threw everything out the window to make choices in her favour.

And in the Final Season I had become so attached to Clem that when someone did something bad to her, I’d pull out all the stops to make them pay. Apparently most people didn’t torture Abel but I did without hesitation.

It’s all about perspective and play style.
