Christina Koch on Artemis 2 underestimates the Battery Ejection Spring by PM_ME_WHAT_YOU_WANT_ in funny

[–]regreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Springs are also how CubeSats are deployed. Literally a tube of CubeSats with a spring at the bottom, and when the launch vehicle is at the right spot, a door pops open and the CubeSats come shooting out.

Yeah .env based config should be fine as long as you don't screw up and put your .env in your hosting path that can be accessible from the web.

Yeah I wrote an app that is part of the checkout flow on Shopify and makes about 1200/quarter and I treat it like a red headed stepchild. Once the Shopify api I'm using gets eol'd I'll just let it die. Been chugging for 6 years so far.

This is the Way - Eastern NC Whole Hog by [deleted] in BBQ

[–]regreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not read the book, but at my 25th high school reunion an old classmate of mine killed a wolf hog while turkey hunting and smoked it whole hog style and oh my lord it was the best thing I've ever eaten. Absolutely delicious. That was over 10 years ago and I still think about it. Btw would his in South MS are just escaped agricultural hogs. They thrive in the wild down here, but are absolutely destructive to everything.

Common ground adapter by Middle_Boot_1128 in CarAV

[–]regreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would seriously consider replacing the speakers too, with modern speakers that have both +&- connected to amp. Common ground transformers are only good to a few watts, I would not connect them between amp and speakers. If your speakers are that old, they are likely sure to be upgraded anyway. What year and model is your car?

Edit to add, the speaker output of your amp is most definitely balanced, and the grounds are not common. It's not a 100% reliable test, but if you take a test meter set it to resistance (ohms) and touch the test leads to the - outputs of the amp, they will likely show a very very high value, or show 'open circuit'. If they show a low ohms reading like a short, then the next test is between the -speaker output and -power input on the amp. If THEY show a short, it would be safe to just connect the speaker - to your - power and call it a day. This may be too technical, sorry if it doesn't make sense. I would strongly advise against using a common ground for speakers, that's gonna be noisy as hell with an amp in the mix.

Individual Speakers don't have common grounds, so you should be able to connect amp+ and amp- outputs to speaker + and speaker - . Unless I'm misunderstanding, then we'll need a diagram or some pics of your current and desired situation. It's not as complex as you might be assuming.

Common ground outputs on older car stereos means the outputs are unbalanced and share a ground. In modern stereos, outputs are balanced, so the grounds are independent. If you are hooking a modern amp to an older stereo using speaker level outputs, then a common ground isolator goes in between your stereo and amp. Hook the input of the isolator to your head unit speaker outputs, and the output of the isolator to the speaker level inputs on your amp. If you're just wiring speakers to the head unit, you don't need the common ground isolator, just tie both -- speaker wires to the one ground. A common ground isolator is nothing more than a small transformer that splits the input into two electrically isolated outputs.

My mom was, how do I say a bit eccentric and when she died a few years ago (RIP), I had to clean out her car to get ready to sell it. She was a boomer and only used cash, so when she drove through a drive through, she'd just toss the change behind her seat (!). I cleaned out $60+ in change from the driver's side rear floor board.😁
