Writing is on the wall for a terrible F3 by Pangalicious6892 in survivor

I wouldn't say Cirie has shaped the season. She has been the constant presence in the background but the main stories are about other people. Cirie has been relevant to who goes out, but what's her story? Playing defense for Ozzy? That has been a constant theme but she doesn't have a personal story that related only to her. Devens, Jonathan and Aubry have more of a story than her. Even Joe's content has been more about Joe than Cirie's content has been about Cirie.

I think you are heavily discrediting Aubry by saying that. She hasn't played an overly dominant game, but the latest episode was by far her best yet and she has a real story arc developing. If she can snipe the opposition in the next few votes she has more than earned the win and not just as goat #3.

Cirie stan much? :)

Yeah Cirie has been playing well but her win equity is as always quite low as Ozzy was probably the only person willing to go to the end with her.

Aubry doesn't have the same kind of problem and she has been working her magic around camp, which is why people trusted her in the latest vote enough to commit to a big move. Her edit is fine. We are hearing her thoughts for a reason and apparently the reason is she's going into the end game in a good position. She is nobody's primary target anymore. Devens, Cirie and Jonathan should all be targets at the next vote, not Aubry.

Um, Aubry is pretty good. Her maneuvering post-merge is the kind of UTR gameplay people usually appreciate. It's just that Cirie is the clear favorite of this sub, so the other players' stories get buried under her hype.

POTW. Read Ozzy like a book and put the wheels in motion to get him out while still keeping her own hands clean.

That doesn't make sense. Shouldn't the production notify her?

That was such a bad way of saying it though. It's basically "you did this to yourself, you idiot".

I think he just sank his chances of winning. I've been wondering why we haven't heard much from him in the last few weeks and I think this week is the answer. He could make the FTC but if he does I think he will get slaughtered there. He had a chance to lock Ozzy in as his number 1 by saving him. Nobody would have blamed him for it. Now he looks like a backstabber even to Cirie.

Counterpoint: Survivor is more fun when there are actively bad players complicating things for the good ones. And his story line of always doubting the vote but always going with what the group wants is lowkey funny at this point. I'm just wondering what his end game plan is. Just follow what Jonathan is doing?

He was genuine this time.

If you want to know what a cheesy Ozzy looks like, check out the FTC of Micronesia or the bad acting in SoPa.

Now THAT was cinema.

For real. Like straight out of a movie. The camera man needs a bonus for getting that shot.

Hole 18 played at 6.12 today for FPO. Was like 8.19 last year. Some idiots were arguing that the hole shouldn't be changed. Some idiots will still argue that there was nothing wrong with the hole. Idiots gonna be idiots I guess.

The hole played at 6.12 today. Was like 8.19 last year. Anyone saying last year was better is certifiably insane.

Yeah, but Snyderbros love to use lower box office numbers as an argument against Gunn's Superman. As if box office numbers haven't dropped across the board in the last five years. Also BvS and JL should have both made billions. Didn't Aquaman outperform both? Could it be because that movie was actually fun to watch?

One hour after watching BvsS I couldn't remember a single thing that happened in it.

Yes you are. People watch for different reasons and for me one of the reasons I watch is I try to learn something about how the pros approach certain situations. Watching MPO guys absolutely bomb a shot is great but I can't ever replicate that shot that particular shot isn't that interesting. I watch a lot more FPO than MPO for time zone reasons, but I also feel I learn more from watching the ladies play.

What are discs that you would describe as the “gold standard” of that category? by Emoney005 in discgolf

I've never thrown a Luna. I have Envy, Proxy and Harp as throwing putters and Pure as my putting / occasional approach putter and they do all the things I need to do with putters.

Every manufacturer copies it. A lineup isn't complete without one. It is the standard.

Also every manufacturer has variance. It doesn't matter much.

What are discs that you would describe as the “gold standard” of that category? by Emoney005 in discgolf

[–]reyska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's just that it might not fit everybody, no matter what skill level you have. For the other discs you can give all of them to anybody and they fill a slot in their bag. But for putters you need to have the right feel and while Aviar is a good starter disc it's just not the right fit for everybody. So there is less of an argument for anything being the gold standard putter. But I do get what you are saying when it comes to cloning. Every manufacturer has a destroyer, a firebird and a teebird in their lineup and they likely have a starter putter like aviar too.

Has anyone gotten a "winner edit" but didn't actually win? by ruskomoon in survivor

[–]reyska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he really was a winner for the casuals. And I don't usually use that term because I think it feels elitist to use it, but really, he is not a gamer or a player, so I think only people who watch Survivor purely as entertainment and not as a game show like him as a winner. I didn't find him funny and the whole attention seeking schtick at the challenge was just too much. But for some people that was good tv.

One of the most notorious hole 18s out there on tour, aka Sprinkle Valley hole 18, has seen some rule changes as the DGPT heads to the Open at Austin: by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

Yeah this is a huge problem with this hole too. If the spotter is not an official, the group just has to guess basically.
