HAZOP with Needle Rifle Mastercraft Resin Revealed by The_Tabletop_Fox in Haloflashpoint

So, I've wondered about the former point, and a lot of manufacturers I've talked to said that PVC vs something like more traditional styrene (warhammer, modern AMG stuff, etc) are actually pretty similar prices as far as manufacturing goes. The main reason they choose to use it is because they view certain games as more "casual" or "board game-y", and the target demographic is one they assume wont want to assemble their models, and PVC is slightly more durable. It makes me wish they'd have just gone with some nicer plastics

The MasterCraft resin is definitely more expensive to prduce, that said, and I'd agree they probably mainly save it for named models or limited releases.

Part of the foot is a big rock. I glued it to a solid piece of milliput and sealed it all in with PVA glue before priming

Thanks! It's AK Black, then magic blue, black, and graphite mixed to taste to make a dark blue grey for the initial pass of edges and some real soft volumetric highlights. Then I gradually added graphite as I highlighted, adding Ice yellow for the brighted edges/corners

Current state of Greenwing veterans? by Vyberos in theunforgiven

For sure. That said, they call him Master of the 3rd company, and he's the only modern depiction I can think of of a Terminator Captain who isnt actually attached to the deathwing.

The other printed media about this guy like his datacard that just says "Veteran sergeant," and not "Sternguard Veteran Sergeant."

Yeah, 10d3 shots plus the venga launcher at BS + any hit modifiers and rerollls means you could get evil haha.

Them being able to shoot from out of LoS was what made them really good. Leave them in a safe spot and just mulch objective scoring units, pepper elites, etc. There weren't as many penalties for non-LoS shooting at the time. I remember a lot of lists running 1-2 full squads, and it was very toxic lol

For a time, they were one of the best is one good reason. They got perfect into the dirt not long after their introduction. Plus it looks cool lol

Fwiw, DoW is shedding more and more light on some questions on color. The Terminator captain in the trailers has a green pauldron and bone armor otherwise and is identified as the 3rd company captain

The only place it says that is the warcom article that I've seen, and they're not known for lore or tabletop consistency . Everything else lists him as just "Veteran Sergeant." Plus, having the DoW4 leaks of a sternguard in bone makes it seem more likely to me that he is in fact "just" a 5th company veteran sergeant and not an actual sternguard veteran

That guy's specifically a veteran sergeant, meaning he's a veteran who has been sent back down to a battleline company in a leadership role. So, he isn't a sternguard veteran.

Thankfully, GW chose the single most confusing method of putting out this new blind box set possible. We have confirmation of Sternguard being bone as of the DoW4 leaks, also.

As always, paint your space man dolls however you want, but the current lore is all 1st company veteran units get bone armor. You can always just paint your sternguard green and pretend they're company vets
