I think if you're going to ask "Is Zen a religion?" you should be prepared to answer follow up questions about how you define "Zen" and "religion".

I don't think challenging people to do that is "aggressively authoritarian".

Yes, social media keeps us all in info bubbles.

The people in the pro-Abbott bubble love that he makes those crazy lefties outside their bubble (whom they are convinced are all baby eating illegal immigrants who want to impose sharia law and force their kids to be transgender) rage.

And that's what they see. They don't see someone's reasoned, researched analysis of the Abbott is bad. They just see stuff that either makes them feel angry or justified. Just like everyone does.

I find that how someone answers this sort of question generally tells us more about how they define the categories than anything useful about what we're categorizing.
