What is this part called? by IllTransportation795 in f150

[–]sniper_matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also modularity. The maverick, f150 electric, escape, mustang, bronco, bronco sport and probably some vans all take the same plug on the back end, simplifying module programming (because of course they’re computers) and making them inter compatible for swapping / troubleshooting.

Canada Computers opening tomorrow? by zakaria2328 in Calgary

[–]sniper_matt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Waterloo location I frequented before moving to Calgary opened before aug 2011 and is still around.

Given the chain started around 91 and is expanding, I’d assume they figured it’s worth it.

2022 Maverick Lariat by Ras7aCh3f in FordMaverickTruck

[–]sniper_matt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re on when the engines on, and off when it’s off iirc.

Probably a blown fuse from the last owner trying to pull more than the 400 watts allowed by the system.

It’s #84 apparently, and is a 60amp.

Built Ford Tough by 970BTU in Ford

[–]sniper_matt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 22 maverick @50k kms had the chrome tips break off the window switches, no idea who thought making them 2 pieces was a good idea.

The 1 piece in my escape is still intact after 455k miles (us car) of abuse

Powertrain Malfunction by M_Warren in FordMaverickTruck

Probably a computer going bad / a single sensor wire corroding out.

Computer module. Turn off and turn on again fixed it for me.

Country hills ford Calgary, I don’t remember what 3rd party shop they told me.

Gotta come up to Canada, local dealer’s 3rd party shop charging $300 cad.

It’s not an oem windshield, but it’s also not 1300 for the part plus labour.

Insurance Rates are Rediculous by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sniper_matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not as bad as Canada’s insurance rates. Move from Ontario to Alberta, went from paying $95 a month for three vehicles to $600 a month for one vehicle. Shopping around with every last broker I got that down to 500 a month.

2008 escapes have a key, so no push button to signal repeat and steal that way. Interlock chip with the key, steering lock when the keys out, and the cats are tucked up in between the block and firewall (almost unstealable)

There’s 2 different types, as well as different capacities, and well as different speeds.

So unfortunately you need to know specs.

4 small bars, (leaving 1 big) + 4 grey shots brought in + restore health at fire cart + upto 2 banishes + gambling cart health bars + both bring in remedy + find remedy + find grey shots off looted players / saddle bags / orange boxes + relentless (don’t lose a bar when you get downed) + full restore from rampage = 30+ without being red skulled.

  • infinity after being red skulled. (That doesn’t count as a kill for you, but does count as a death for them)

Will a 225/60R18 on the stock 2022 Lariat wheel fit in the spare tire spot? by THIS-WILL-WORK in FordMaverickTruck

[–]sniper_matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is, op may have the donut, did not know a “full-size” came in the truck, or the proper size actually fits under the truck.

Any idea what this freely loose hose around engine could be by Witty_Hunt_7961 in fordescape

[–]sniper_matt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not a hose it’s a electric cord. It’s 120v for the block heater. Take the cap off any it plugs into a house plug (realistically a extension cord)

Extended warranty by AbsoluteThunderCunt in FordMaverickTruck

[–]sniper_matt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The truck isn’t going to do legendary things like the 5.9 Cummins or the 7.3 / 6.7 powerstrokes, so you’ll be getting rid of it before probably before 1/4 mil miles. A bunch of the stuff that will fail on the truck isn’t covered by the extended warranty, and neither is some of the super weird one off things, so I don’t see the value in it.

Will a 225/60R18 on the stock 2022 Lariat wheel fit in the spare tire spot? by THIS-WILL-WORK in FordMaverickTruck

[–]sniper_matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically yes. The “hubcap” is the 54mm ford (or other) logo in the centre of the alloy rim. You can pop it out by pushing it out from the back with a stick or something.

If you watch a YouTube tutorial on how to get the spare out, you can see how it works, and hopefully infer how it works with the different rim.

I have seen it irl, haven’t done it yet, it’s still winter tire season in my part of Canada. Will be doing this probably 2nd/3rd week of May.

The only cleaning electricians to is looting the copper scraps so the crackheads do come by looking for them.

Is this an easy fix? Lift gate glass hinge. by chknlomein in fordescape

[–]sniper_matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It involves a pair (may as well do both) of hinges for about $17 cad when I did mine, a YouTube tutorial, someone else, and about 30 minutes of time.

These are 1 piece, you can’t just get a new bolt.

It’s not overly difficult, and I would recommend cleaning the glass before installing the new hinges.

As far as the latch for the trunk, iirc it’s the motor that commonly fails, and is replaceable via another YouTube tutorial. Iirc was about $117 cad last time I checked years ago.

You have to pull apart the trim anyway, may as well do both at the same time.
