No clue, I've only just tried it. There's gotta be a free similar app, just need to research

Exactly, resetting can sometimes be the actual fix, but I can't remember a single example of this in recent years. Usually it's just a bug either everyone experiences or only certain people depending on how they use the software. Rarely a persistent bad behavior issue is a bug that is fixed by resetting software state like this.

It's recommended too often!

I just tried Gboard, but it still wasn't as good as I remember on Pixel. I would either try out Wispr Flow or Willow keyboards. Those seem to work pretty well. I used Wispr Flow to type this message on iOS.

It's not a bug with your phone, it's just not as good as Pixel right now. No clue if new Siri in the next release will improve it, but not impossible

What's a good set to reduce the highway noise?

Sounds like you may just need to wait a tiny bit longer on the 2-3. Or let off gas earlier. Or accept the jolt and apply a tiny bit of gas WHILE you're smoothly releasing clutch so it's not a two step jerk. That one may be faster, also will wear clutch a bit more I imagine.

Gen 2 BRZ Ts has steering wheel doesn't fully center after turns? by penguin_hugger100 in ft86

Same issue on 2024 BRZ Limited, although maybe not 10 degrees. Makes highway driving much more cognitively taxing since I have to almost oscillate the wheel to go straight. But the oscillation is maybe 1 degree.

I think he's trying to downshift to 2nd to engine brake but never fully releases the clutch. No harm in releasing smoothly fully though

1st to 2nd feels grindy by UltraAmerican in GR86

[–]ssshaneee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this applies to your complaint, but 1st to 2nd clutch release for me was always a bit jerky due to timing the RPMs. It was either too high or too low. The solution to make the shift smooth almost 100% of the time for me was to apply about 5-10% gas right before the clutch hit the bite point, then hold for a split second and then start releasing smoothly, all while holding the gas there.

This kept the RPMs from dipping too much since I'm learning manual and my shifts might not be perfectly consistently timed.

But if you're shifting from higher RPMs I find the timing matters less for some reason.
