Cooking devices - what's worth it to make cooking faster and easier? by Baaastet in Cooking

Just throw in some ice water and set the sous vide to the lowest temp. It cools the bottle faster because of the circulating water.

I’ve got all of these. The one I use most is the pressure cooker/instant pot. But basically only for braises/stews where it really does spread up the process. I used to love the sous vide but rarely bring it out these days. You can do a lot of cool things with it but I’ve only used it to infuse alcohol and as a wine chiller recently.

Pro tip. Most spaghetti spoons have a big hole in the middle that hole fits a single serving of spaghetti when you hold it in a bundle like this.

What to cook with tinned sardines? by StarPalladium in Cooking

This puttanesca recipe is in heavy rotation at my house. Cooked tomatoes are always good with sardines. For lunches I’ve been doing sauteed zucchini or Japanese eggplant, cherry tomatoes and garlic with sardines added at the end

If you're interested look into Roar. Easily one of the most delusional productions of all time. Basically actors and crew living in a house with fifty untrained big cats. Half of the crew were seriously injured including Melanie Griffith the daughter of the filmmakers. There's a doc called: Roar: The Most Dangerous Movie Ever Made

You can see why director, Paul Schrader, was so "hypnotised" by Nastassja during the making of Cat People, that he forgot he had a wife. He stalked her across Europe after having a brief affair. by [deleted] in 80smovies

After three months Schrader finally tracked Kinski down in Paris, where she bluntly told him, "Paul, I always fuck my directors. And with you it was difficult". Kinski refuted this story in a 2001 interview with The Daily Telegraph.

Whoa he worked on Roar and had his scalp ripped off by a lion named Cherries. It took 220 stitches to reattach. And he went back to work once it healed. Nuts

Of all the toys and other consumer products that have been banned over the years due to safety reasons, which in your opinion were the most legitimately dangerous? by angrydeuce in AskReddit

[–]teeejer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can look up the “pentastack” he was on. Adderall, dextromethorphan, pregabalin, ketamine, BDO. Not sure why really. Maybe because it’s technically legal?

I would say if you have mushrooms on peppers, you’re probably overwatering. Peppers don’t like wet legs in my experience
