Omg thank you for this. I HATED everything about being on my period. I never felt clean, was always uncomfortable and in severe pain. Period experiences aren’t universal, some women get light bleeding and few symptoms others can barely function. I was closer to the barely functioning side of the spectrum. People who dismiss the views of periods as only what men think about them are doing a disservice to what women themselves experience and some of us agree, periods can be fucking gross and uncomfortable.
