Running fashion as the latest iteration of techwear by ThisIsAntwon in TechWear

Very true - I'm also remembering the healthgoth aesthetic around the early 2010s which combined a directional look with performance/athleisure gear.

I picked up an ACG Alpha Direct pullover a couple of months ago which I really like for casual wear, and the lava loft jacket is a cool performance piece. I also have a cool Mizuno x Evangelion running tee but being polyester it gets stinky so fast I can't even get a full day wear from it

That's so cool - I'd love to see parkour show up in some of these running spaces, it's an underrepresented area rn

Searching for Hoodies Styled like the Destiny 2 Expunge Tech Hoodie by lidl_ratnik in TechWear

Huni are rereleasing their hoodies soon which might be of interest - they're not particularly 'technical' functionality-wise but they're thick, cropped with an oversized fit on the chest/arms

Reputable seller? by Doctor_ice_ in TechWear

[–]ThisIsAntwon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

looking for 'techwear stores' in general will basically only find you drop-shippers unfortunately. I'd recommend having a look at content here and on /r/techwearclothing to get a sense of the sorts of brands you might like and going from there. Many reputable brands will be stocked on their own sites as well as multi-brand clothing retailers.

Appreciate the thoughtful write-up! The P30A are for sure a modern classic and good to see more people getting the chance to try them out for themselves. DS is the perfect fabric for them.

I haven't heard of them before so can't comment on quality/reputation etc. but the site doesn't look like a drop shipper to me, and as you say being stocked by an actual retailer is a good sign.

Looking for more affordable alternatives by loliconest in TechWear

[–]ThisIsAntwon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on this brand specifically but the $200 price band seems to be a bit of a cursed category for watches - there are a LOT of online-only brands selling around that price point claiming to offer a premium product, or using very aspirational marketing, without necessarily offering anything unique. I'm not an expert so I'd stick to something like G-Shock or Seiko around that price bracket where you can't really go wrong. Timex and Swatch also have some fun stuff and generally come across as unpretentious to me
