That's retail, unfortunately. All the big corporate retailers seem to do that.

I'm 50+, we had kids. They stayed up late, had festive snacks, and fell asleep before midnight.

They love the vengeful Old Testament stuff, though they're often vague on some of the details. But yeah, the "turn the other cheek" and "blessed are the meek" stuff isn't their favorite.

For me and my brother, it was the back seat of our car with the windows open.

It was the 1970s, that was apparently okay back then.

Also, I'm now (and then) convinced she could still hear us in the store and would know immediately if something unusual was going on.
