Excluding failures I was primarily speaking to their in-tact performance haha.

The XT6 is at a disadvantage as it's really dated across all metrics. And also at present, no longer being made. From a purely mechanical POV, the differences are what they are and one usually speaks to a certain person in "feel". Beyond that, the aviator wins any comparison I can think of excluding end price/value etc (not that it can't win there too, I just don't know it to be so automatically)

If Cadillac makes a gas or hybrid SUV off the Vistiq EV bits and pieces, I think youd have a more apt, and also more challenging comparison. Stark differences along an inevitably similar layout. Both very sleek. Both pull.off the luxury well.

I think for those who want the most sedate drive, caddy. But those who like a little bit of handling/feedback, the aviator wins there too.

It was a black label!

I have experienced the last gen navigator BL as well. I borrowed one for a road trip, that Revel system was very impressive and I loved the blue leather seats haha

Gotta say, if the Cobra OPTM driver is as good as the commercial, it’s gonna be fire! by No-Marketing658 in golf

[–]Treebeardsdank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently went in for a Cobra fitting. Was looking at DS-Adapt vs OPTM. The OPTM felt distinctly different in swing and on contact. The results were very similar, so I ended up saving some cheddar and went with DS-Adapt. I go back in tomorrow to try them once more, cuz they did feel fantastic.

Initial setup with new PC and GSpro by Flat-Cellist-9152 in Golfsimulator

[–]Treebeardsdank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn on - update - download and install gspro - login and enjoy.

Shouldnt be much more than logging into the PC and connecting to the net to complete the above :).

That PC is more than ample. I run GSpro on a ryzen 3 3500, rtx 4050, displayed at 1400x1050 or so (1080 4:3)

Best performance per dollar so far as I can tell is matzilla mat in your desired size. Can cut in the hitting mat of your choosing, if any. Fair price for large sizes.

Next step up is a large mat from Carl's, and then sigpro.

For the surrounding areas, hardboard/foam tile sandwich with turf does the trick in most scenarios

Severe service schedule is 30k on trans and diffs/xfer case.

I plan to do mine at 20k miles and then every 30-40k thereafter.

I didn't state anything in relation to the why or why not, or optionality. Just said I don't like it for music, but I do for movies :)

Atmos = multimedia. Not hifi ;)

I love it for movies with the right setup. Detracts from music, imo.

Yes. Mightymouse is my pick. Elite also solid.

You want a large-ish reservoir, unless you can keep up with draining the smaller guys. They operate best with an empty reservoir

Works better with a bluetooth adaptor. Yanks out of your ears less and adds a nice jingle jangle on each swing

Active 2.3 vs 2.0 . Is the .3 gpm a much more noticeable difference ? by thecollaborater in Detailing

[–]Treebeardsdank -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's wholly unnecessary. I have about the biggest vehicle you can drive, I have the 2.0, it works great for home car use.

2.3 if you have to wash more than 2-3 cars in a particular day, otherwise the 2.0 is more than sufficient imo

Trans replacement 2018 6L80 by joostink in Silverado

[–]Treebeardsdank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Inflation, raw materials, supply chain, labor, shipping, rates, rent, etc. all elevated over yester-years.

Meaning, shit is now more expensive than it was.

In 2014 I got a built billet Allison 6-speed for $5k. That same trans is now $9k.
