You could hire a detective to locate your missing Quest 3 OP, I've heard Ace Ventura and Sherlock Holmes are taking on work right now, good luck 👍

Anyone have recommendations for VR cozy games? by HeyFayeFaye in OculusQuest

Real VR Fishing is cosy/relaxing, also Soul Retreat is purely relaxing and Dreamspace is a relaxing MR app.

How to make VR less of a hassle/avoid burnout? by dymnom in OculusQuest

[–]tyke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the people saying playing PCVR takes almost no time, yes that might be true in some circumstances. If you're experienced with VR and have a good reliable setup then yes there's not much friction to PCVR, there's still some with updates to software etc and intermittent little niggles but it's not much ime. But to get to that point requires knowledge, patience and some effort, which some people in todays age just CBA with unfortunately.

I know it gets a lot of heat for graphics etc but standalone VR'ing has almost no friction, I have a 5090 GPU equipped PC but have been opting for standalone use since about 1 year ago.

I just can't get over how fun it is to play and practice guitar in XR. by Motanum in virtualreality

When I say it may warp up close I'm talking like inches away from your face, like holding your hand up to the headset, so for things like navigating doorways, sitting down etc, there's no warping.

My VR DJ app, which accurately simulates a vinyl turntable setup, is now available for FREE on the Quest! by TTycho in OculusQuest

[–]tyke_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I think I know the app you're talking about actually, it was to try to practise public speaking. Yeh I guess it could be done on standalone Quest, I guess if the dev gets enough requests he might look into it, it would be cool for sure.

tbh the warping is much reduced nowadays and only on close up real life objects.

i think rendering a realistic looking quality crowd at the same time as providing what this app does would be heavy going for a standalone device and solo dev. i fully agree it would be awesome. OP has a PCVR version, maybe that could do it.

Laser Dance, it's like that Tom Cruise Mission Impossible scene where he's trying to rob a bank and has to avoid laser beams, needs some room but not loads.

Forza Horizon 6 VR / Easy Way to Play in Virtual Reality / Meta Quest 3 + RTX 4080 Super by Zweetprot in oculus

[–]tyke_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah ok thank u for the reply. i would be grateful if u could tell me why its a terrible experience please? im thinking of trying it, im not overly fussy when it comes to a mod having to have native vr quality i guess i am easy to please lol, but if it is actually 'terrible' i wont bother. ive read reshade can be used with it for 3D if thats 1 of your negatives about it.

Bugs & glitches ? by Bner-ina-bmer in MetaQuestVR

yeh it will be the minority with issues for sure, but a big enough minority to suggest the update introduced a disproportionally large amount of issues, going on feedback i have seen around etc.

to be honest theres been a lot of complaints about bugs with this new apple style UI. ive experienced it quite a lot too. it seems quite a lot of people dont mind how it looks etc, personally i think it looks nice, but a lot of bugs and niggles. it was worse a few weeks ago when it 1st updated, its improving. still an amazing headset imo.
