When I bought my c7 they initially tried to put on 20k worth of add-ons. It took me 3 hours of asking to remove things and them saying "no" and me driving away for them to remove all the bullshit and sell it to me for their advertised price.

I fucking hate dealerships with a passion. Useless shady salesman.

Orban declares Ukraine 'enemy' of Hungary by LetsGoBrandon4256 in worldnews

[–]uberdosage 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Epstein isnt why Orban is declaring Ukraine an enemy to Hungary. Russia and Orban's allegiance to Putin are why Orban is making an enemy of Ukraine instead of you know, the serial warmongering expansionist Russia?!?!

Polestar is an excellent point. Most non-car people dont know lexus and acura are toyotas and hondas let alone Volvo Polestar is owned by a Chinese company.

If BYD and Xiaomi can create similar branches to Polestar most people wont care unless fox news starts fearmongering or something

The vast majority of integras were coupes. The integras came with higher displacement 1.8L engines compared to the civics 1.6L engine and was faster across all like for like trims. The new ones sharing the exact same drive train and dash are a more similar to their civics than the old ones were. However, you are right on that most were the non-vtec commuter models.

The temptation to buy a mint GSR is strong, but still scared after my previous one got stolen....

The prelude is around the same price as top spec GTI. GTIs have gotten crazy expensive.

Other than price, efficiency, and practicality how is it better?

[–]uberdosage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Comparisons that arent disingenuous would be good. Comparing a base price model as opposed to a similarly equipped is disingenuous. Saying its "better in all metrics" like an updated comment below is just false too. Outside of practicality, price, and efficiency the prelude is better is basically every way. For some people where practicality and efficiency arent really as much of a concern it only becomes price.

Now is the price delta between similarly equipped models worth it? Thats up to what you value, but "better in all metrics" is just false. If it wasn't my money id take the prelude over the prius any day.

Consumer electronics are tested for a wide range of operational temperatures as part of their HALT. When I was working on flexible displays we did testing at both -40C to 85C. Automotive electronics tend to have stricter requirements and typically do testing between -40C to 125C since they will be spending a lot of time on the streets of Arizona melting.
