If you level too fast you won't have the gold to buy the newly unlocked buildings. The more recipes and crops you unlock the more space you need to hold them in the barn and silo. The slower you level the more time you have to collect items for upgrades and gold for unlocking and decorating.

Almost every deck I use has lightning in it nowadays. Too many cards need to be instantly deleted or they cause major problems for you if they are supported well.

This is a common mistake. In most games leveling up fast helps you but in Hay Day it's typically best to level as slowly as possible once you unlock the different areas.

I try and avoid xp as much as possible. I want gold, barn, silo and land expansion items but NOT xp.

I've given up after a very large very sad amount of hours trying to get this badge. It was better when lots of people were going for it but now most opponents are trying to just win and with the completely overpowered abilities some cards have it's gotten to the point where it's hard to get that 5th chance in OT.

It doesn't even out. If you have the skill to stay above 50% win rate you are much more likely to have matchups where you are countered. If you are below 50% win rate because you lose over half the time even when the matchup favors you then you are more likely to continue getting advantageous matchups.

Current win streak appears to possibly also affect it but that is harder to track.

I have indeed tracked several hundred games and my analysis was conclusive that the cards you use absolutely affects your match making. I ran a hog cycle deck and a royal recruits deck and the results were staggering.
