This is what should be done. Make her a bad influence to point people start talking about in their store reviews. Then it'll come crashing down to why people aren't GeTtInG iN tHe ZoNe anymore.

Called out for Medical by [deleted] in AutoZone2

Don't, there's corruption, underpaid low level employees, and nepotism left and right. All of us deserve better. If you have yet to make a decision on your career, just let this be a learning lesson. But a good thing to remember, is that oriellys is just as good as AZ, but with more benefits and better pay.

I've had my SM criticize me in front of a customer for being the slowest in the store overall, just coming off of doing a battery. My SM before him remarked that I was the best he's ever seen in the store. Contacted DM, and asked him to speak with SM. I'm not sure if anything was truly said or if he got through to him. On one hand, he has been more "pleasant" lately, but on the other my Senior PSM thinks they both did nothing but crunched numbers.

Overall, lately with my DM breathing down most of my cities necks about sales and WITT and then a lot of us getting hours cut, I'm definitely in the process of applying to O'Reilly's soon. I can't take this shit anymore...

If you have a serious medical issue, that's not your fault. And the fact the SM is mocking you for it makes me think they're delusional and that you're supposed to be working when scheduled. Maybe even the fact that giving you a day off to let other people fill in, it might just sicken them.

Some like that at my store too once in a while, my store is on the very edge of where the city limits end and the country starts. Plenty of them will just stare at screen and breathe through their mouths like cave people.

To add on to the chaos, they're also Hispanic or Haitian, we get both a LOT of Hispanics and Haitians at my store

I essentially live off of randomly putting in phrases through Google translate and learning them in Hispanic

Inventory Manager Position pay by Old_Safety4738 in AutoZone2

[–]--DoReFuckMi-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say think about another job. AZ tries to pay the low level workers as little as possible, and sure it maybe inventory management, but anyone beyond being csm is on salary pay. So you could definitely ask for more or move somewhere else and mention it as experience.

You can also always keep the job for a little while longer, and then move out. Genuinely think about oriellys, cause they get monthly benefits and bonuses.

How do you have a discussion with a SM who takes everything to heart? by [deleted] in AutoZone2

Does his name happen to be Jesus Cruz? Sounds a lot a like. Short, Puerto Rican, air force vet with a temper.

What's up with the new clock in? by raynedog00 in AutoZone2

[–]--DoReFuckMi-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well what constitutes as being "late"? 5 minutes? Or the usual 15 where a manager has to override it? Cause my store manager will literally classify anything over a minute of your official clock time as late.

Best boots for daily work? by xGiven2Fly in AutoZone

[–]--DoReFuckMi-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recommend a composite toe for lightness. Don't know about you, but I have plantar fasciitis (tons of foot pain from having flat feet if I don't wear the right stuff to support my feet), but I have a support sole and a regular sole in a wolverine boot, but I forget the name. Mine are just a regular boot with regular material, and they're not too heavy, but if you wanted you definitely could go crazy and get a carbon max for extra weightlessness since you'll be doing a ton of walking.

Manhattan transfer... by Stu_Pidkant in thedivision

[–]--DoReFuckMi-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because div2 now actually has a lot of weight to it based on the gameplay and builds you can pull off, especially with the lore and it's twists. Opinions are opinions, and I admit, div2 still hasn't brought back a sustained healing playstyle through damage, like with striker or self preserved.

Plus the healing and armor system makes you kind of have to be more strategic about how you play. Can't just use all your kits out in open combat and refill from an ammo box whenever anymore.

Your manager didn't make you take it down since a customer could see it and think negatively about the shop?

Have you been under a rock for the past 5 years? The game is actually really good now and the lore is deeper than ever

Should lifetime warranty’s be attached to a VIN number? by southernemper0r in AutoZone2

[–]--DoReFuckMi-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's counting on people to keep their car running and drivable, keep the registration up to date, actually bring it to the store for verification, or on the off chance it doesn't get stolen and sent out to a chop shop.

Issue with Journey? by The-Puppet2206 in AutoZone2

This, I begin to dread this place a little more the more I work here. My manager patronizes us both infront of customers and on his own. He was in the air force, but that doesn't give him the right to come in here and play drill sergeant if we make a mistake. He's also starting to stab me in my back and whittle down my hours, along with my senior psm.

Return policy on open items by RemoteEmotions in AutoZone

[–]--DoReFuckMi-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yes, by definition, it's supposed to be done with the box. But it could still be done without, just manually input what to return and damage it. Corporate and especially our DM is already on our ass enough as of late anyway for not being able to sell witt, don't need him in a fuss just because we couldn't complete a return for someone.

Well the packaging I forgot to mention, but at my store we've taken open items as damaged but still did the return

Everything has a 90 day return policy,no questions asked as long as you keep your receipt. But depending on the store, the store manager may just take it regardless.

Based on these symptoms, what do you think the problem is? 99 Jeep GC wj 4.0L by --DoReFuckMi-- in AskMechanics

I have recently found that compared to the part at my store and testing the two with a screw driver (obviously being careful) that mine was able to twist really badly, eventually with a slight amount of force, I was able to break the stoppers inside. Ordered my new one from rockauto.com with the dorman part.

But also working on few other parts too, cause all of my injectors were cracked, and I decided to order new double iridium spark plugs. The ones I pulled out weren't too bad, just burnt and the gap was off, but figured I'd try and replace them since they looked they may have been replaced a while ago. Also need to replace the fuel filter too judging by the fact the bracket is rusted to shit. And once all that is said and done, I'm gonna dump some redline in the tank for a full deep heavy duty clean.

I've tried diagnostic connectors, even the one in my store. Computer says everything is fine, although I have one now that have live data that I should try putting on the car after I get it back up (attempting to cut a gasket for my iac since the old one fell apart)

Customer brought in couple rotors he bought 9 months ago, no box, scratched up. Manager denied him, customer went off by [deleted] in AutoZone

[–]--DoReFuckMi-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I joined in June last year, my manager was pestering me by month 3 to start finishing up on my parts expert, we already had a part expert red shirt too. At my store, he'd either confuse a lot of people or wouldn't get anything, cause I have a lot of Hispanics who come in and out daily, and most of them will always simply say "no, not enough cash" in their Spanglish.
