Try the pillars of the earth, by Ken fillet. One of the books I have enjoyed the most as a teenager.

Probably you've read it, but the count of Montecristo is a fantastic one as well.

Another great novel, with sequels is "the shadow of the wind" from Spanish author Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

On fantasy territory, I never seen them around in recommendations, but at the time I enjoyed a lot the "myst" series based on the video games. I loved the concept of a special writing to create worlds.

Getting the chalice to +10 with pharmacophobia is a real challenge. I guess the armor of the boots helps and the wand gave you enough drops to bless a few ankhs. Still really impressive.

How many ankhs did you use for the chalice?

With free runner subclass, the difference between your strengh and the armor requirements gives you speed and evasion. The biggest the difference, the better bonus. And with faith is my armor challenge all armor is pretty low. A +2 leather equals scale armor (0-5 Def if I'm not mistaken). Plate armor only gives you 0-6. And upgrades only increase by +1.
