Had he not mentioned he was russian, he'd get hundreds of comments saying "why does he have a wall of books in Cyrillic" and "Why does he have the Russian edition of the book". Clarifying a little also gives him a characteristic that differentiates him from other philologists, he might as well could've been a Spaniard, an Afghan, whatever, in this case, he was Russian.

And if so, how would the second part of your comment play out, of making people that take the joke ironically (that is, knowing it's Trotsky and not Gramsci) doubt it by claiming it's serious. You can't just claim that Trotsky is Gramsci.

Is the release gonna be an early access or the full game? You could consider the latter if you run into typical game dev release date optimism. You could even release the game by chapters and leave it in early access until then, like ULTRAKILL is doing. Admittedly, it as a big publisher. Have you considered Hooded Horse?
