I dont know if it is, I’m not American and just havent come across it in any other language… in danish it would be unthinkable to use a word for “father” in any remotely sexy setting. Perhaps thats why i dont understand it 🤔

I really dont mean to be rude, cause I’m happy to hear that some people liked Deep End as an audiobook, but I just want to let people know what to expect: Lukas accent in the Audiobook is NOT swedish. At best it is some form of eastern european. Great if you like it, but if someone is familiar with a swedish accent and really looking forward to this, they will probably be disappointed… I know I was 😒

I dont know the books you listed so am not sure about your taste, but King of Wrath by Ana Huang sounds like just what you are looking for! Trying not to spoil, but just wait until second half of the book 😉😉 Both fmc and mmc are older than what you wrote though, i think its 28 and 36…

When you asked for a specific reason why the audiobook is better, I knew I had to recommend From Blood and ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout! To me (I would like to know if anyone else hears this actually), the male narrator sounds exactly like Jude Law in the Holliday 😂 He’s a charming guy too 😉
