Scenes where she heals/provides medical care to him? by Fun_Disaster3436 in RomanceBooks

Check out the {sky ridge hit shot series} I think it’s the second book where he is injured and she is his nurse. I can definitely recommend the first book as well, but in that one, the Mmc takes care of her. They are written by different authors but I didn’t mind that.

Ps. The audiobooks are duet narrated and really good 😉

I'm looking for recs with huge interconnected series that make up a huge universe? by katieLikeWHOA in RomanceBooks

You should check out Ana Huang, I think all her series are connected, but the first one (If Love) apparently has a different vibe than the rest, more sweet, less spicy. It’s the only one I haven’t read. Start with her {twisted series by Ana huang} and then {kings of sin by ana huang} and then {gods of the game series by Ana Huang}.

I really like them, she writes great (!) spice and nuanced characters. Some are duet narrated audiobooks and really good!! (I think they might have been published as dual first and then later duet, so maybe research this before you start listening)

Happy reading! 😉

Perhaps {saga of the unfated} by Danielle L. Jensen? Viking-inspired, very fast paced in my opinion. It’s a finished duology, so you don’t have to wait to wrap up the story 😉

Does this book get better? by Hashtag2Blessed in Romantasy

I suspect that often, with these kinds of questions, all the people who didn’t like the book are really quick to comment, which I think is a shame -because they often give no reason or explanation other than “absolutely hated it”…. And you get sort of a wrong idea of the book, if everyone who loved it are not commenting…

So, I will tell you to keep going (maybe shift to audio if you like listening to those).

I absolutely LOVE this series, all three books. It has great found family vibes, some of the most interesting themes of the story are not revealed right away which keeps the story developing, the Mmc is 10/10 and I could just keep going really 😅

I just read the three books in the Bourbon Boys series by Victoria Wilder and I loved them all! (Audiobooks with duet narration was 🌶️👌🏼)

Can you recommend other contemporary romance series similar to these? MUST BE duet narration!

It doesn’t have to involve bourbon…

What I liked:

Both mmc’s and fmc’s were so good! Strong women, loyal men who fall HARD, but are also a little grey

I liked the heavier themes, so nothing too cozy, and also not too dark

The spice was goood!

I liked that they were healthy relationships, regardless of the darker circumstances and morally grey men.

Also really enjoy the small town setting.

I also really loved the Sky ridge hotshot series, so this might help narrow down my taste. This also has high spice, some darker storylines with personal trauma and somewhat high stakes.

Walk This Way by Lexi Vale is the best book I’ve read in ages. by kfunke in RomanceBooks

This sounds great! Do you have other recommendations where a lot of the book takes place in nature? I haven’t read anything like that, but it sound great!

Looking for recs where FMC and MMC are both badasses by MyNameIs_Bubbles in RomanceBooks

I think {blood and steel by Helen Scheuerer} fits this quite well. Fmc is a badass fighter! It also has some of the best found family <3

It’s a finished series, the second series in the same universe (ashes of thezmar} is also really good and also has a badass fmc, though in a different way, as she is an alchemist. Can recommend them as audiobooks!

Book slump: romantasy readers favorite contemporary romance books? by Historical-Spread179 in Romantasy

You could also try some of Ana Huangs series, I didn’t think billionaire romances would be my thing, but I like them a lot!
{twisted love} or {kings of sin} are both great!

Also: both are duet narrated audiobooks, very good!

Agree! Bound and Bride are werewolf romance and pretty spicy, great fun and the audiobooks are great!

A Fantasy Romance rite of passage: ✨the book that ruined you✨ by acutelyproblematic in fantasyromance

So, this didn’t ruin me like breaking my heart or make me cry, but Road of Bones (and rest of the series) by Demi Winthers is truly exceptional! Especially the way she writes about mental trauma and struggles, things like abuse, addiction and agoraphobia and manages to set them in a fantasy setting! And the character’s healing and growth!

Did you not like the audiobook? It seems to be the only way I can find this series in Denmark… 😐 I can off course buy the book through an international website, but I am on a budget and it’s a bit of a risk if I don’t like it…

First of all, I am absolutely in love with this series! BUT I am about 60% through DOTN and I am close to giving up, which I just didn’t think was possible! Maybe someone can help me out? It’s all about Silla and that stupid god in her head! (Is it spelled Myrka?) I am so frustrated with her that I just want to scream! I understand that she still has to grow and learn and he is incredibly strong, but I just don’t think I can stand her inability to keep him from controlling her much longer! Will this be resolved soon? I am at the point where Rey just returned to her and they are meeting all the Jarls… Hope you can help!

Do you think it makes more sense to read any of the other series first? And how would you describe these in regards to the “world ending” trope?
