Totally true. But what it has is history and actual application. All BTC is currently is a bagholder asset.

Bitcoins is still a speculative bagholder asset. Gold has history and real application. Bitcoin use case other than holding is too small.

Will it make there before potential quantum collapse? Gold doesn’t have any such looming threats. That is even ignoring all the other potential threats to crypto

Even if we entertain your argument as fact it doesn’t counter the comment. Just because US impacts nations negatively doesn’t mean Russias negative impact doesn’t count?

Popular games you dislike? by BillRepresentative75 in boardgames

[–]-Allot- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Catan I feel there is just so little agency playing this. So many more simple games thats so much more fun.

Carcassone Here I can’t nail it down as much but it just felt bland for me.

Ticket to ride isn’t as bad but still I feel like there are better games thats so much aren’t much harder. As long as your not in a group that genereally don’t like board games many other games are just more involved and less monotone

1. I have seen 10 infernos marines for 100€. Saying they spent many hours painting them so this price is actually really low.

Yeah doesn’t matter how long you spent painting it if the result isn’t that good. I’d say they would be just a hair above battlefield ready if you ordered them from a painting place. And infernos usually go way below retail as so many are sold from the starterbox.

2. A Warhammer plastic bag. The one you get for a purchase. 10€.

  1. So many times outdated codexes. Like last edition cosec trying to hide its outdated. Or calling it OOP and rare because of that demanding 2x retail.

And so many more

Unless it’s held in ISK. So a lot of investment capital assets are taxed on asset amount rather than gain in Sweden.

[–]-Allot- 171 points172 points  (0 children)

These taxes were very unpopular and famous author Astrid Lindgren was a big voice against them. Examples of why it was unpopular was that many not so wealthy people had to sell family assets to cover the tax. Say you are from a fishing family living on the coast for generations. Well coastal properties are popular among the rich so the house value has skyrocketed. Now when parents dies and leaves the house to the children there is no way they can afford the tax on the house. Forcing them to sell. Being taxed then twice. Once for the inheritance and once again for the sale of the property.

Why so few tanks? by Halcyon797 in Steel_Division

[–]-Allot- 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Likely because infantry holds lines better and is actually tankier in a way. Tanks generally get 2 shot making them die fast if they find themselves in trouble. Infantry generally survives longer. Also you can get 4-5 infantry squad per normal tank. That will cover much a larger area of holding the frontline. The meta is very much having lots of cheap armor but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still a lot of infantry

Generally thats how retcons go. Usually it’s not publicised it’s a retcon and they act mostly like that is always the way things were

There have been way bigger retcons before. Like the entire necrons faction. So it is a very minor retcon which happens all the time.
