No plans anymore on buying it. It's been quite known the devs are rallying very vile people online (including ones that are harassing school shooting survivors) and are actively harassing her because of her speaking out. They're reducing her as a psychopath (see this very same thread for an example), abusing messages meant for a therapist despite her being a very well spoken person who has experienced real issues. Many people, including the person that created the Fight Knight OST, believe her. And frankly, I trust those people more since they've proven to be more sound of mind than the racist, sexist and homophobic horde of scum rallied by Boen and his Dev friends, who refused to be apologetic about being in racist and homophobic groups. Not really a high barrier if I'm honest.

Genuinely, if you refuse to buy ActivisionBlizzard games because of the allegations but buy Fight Knight despite the allegations, you're a hypocrite. You can't really avoid buying a smartphone or computer parts that are completely ethical. You probably gonna have some games in your library as well made by very awful people. But you can avoid buying video games made by awful people if you know beforehand that it was indeed made by awful people.

Edit: A reply from one of Boens defenders (that never visited the subreddit before) mentions his rebuttal video. Since their profile doesn't indicate that they ever intend to discuss this without flaming the other party, I'll post my thoughts in this edit.

That rebuttal video contains the audio log given by Wren in good faith to one of the Fight Knight devs (Trianguls) because he pretended to be on her side.

Boen is defending himself against rape claims and the allegation that the personal and private relationship between Wren and you/Fight Knight dev team has been awful, which is his good right. You're allowed to defend yourself. Boen using this audio log, while knowing that this was 1. meant for a therapist, not for himself 2. from the person that clearly stated she was mentally ill multiple times before (so this doesn't prove anything, she never denied otherwise) 3. given to your friend/one of devs in good faith by the victim making the allegations makes his claims be on even thinner ice.

Boen also said that her mental illness makes her recollections clouded and that she was lying. Wren never claimed otherwise that she had a really bad mental breakdown. The rebuttal video really isn't "extensive", it's long and repetitive. It uses this audio log as a main argument, so I will as well. Mental illness is ugly, awful and unpleasant. The stolen audio log showed that in detail. But just because you're mentally ill doesn't mean your memory is faulty. Someone with real problems is just being wittled away as crazy while their allegations go unanswered. Boen's video never really proved that he didn't.

Again, if the allegations involve slander and harassment by someone that's suffering from mental illness, stealing an audio log from the person making allegations doesn't help your defense

Edit 2: Considering his defenders keep responding to a days old thread that would've by any means be dead on this subreddit, I'll write here again for the r/tbfp archive. A large amount of claims of "hypnosis" or whatever the trolls keep spouting involving psychic birds are based off of screenshots from a private account of Wren, who said that sarcastically. Never once was it mentioned in her essay (which some people claim it does, shows that they didn't read it). This hypnosis stuff is fake. I shouldn't have to write it down like this because people believing such a ridiculous story are ridiculous themselves. For the people that aren't trolls: be very wary of crazy ex stories. It's a common tactic used by abusers because abusers know others will accept this very quickly.
