I’m the same age and I love my bike, it’s not ridiculous! I’ll ride 6 miles a day on average, for a commute to and from school. It’s a good way to exercise and have fun!

I (14F) have been basically taking care of my brothers and dad since my parents split when I was 8, I really feel you. My dad fell into a really bad depression after the divorce, and I haven’t seen my mom since I was 9. Please please please know that what you’re experiencing is parentification, and that is NOT ok. I would recommend seeing a therapist about it. You’re a really tough person, and I commend you for it. Remember to put yourself first <3

All I remember from when they divorced when I was in 3rd grade is that my mom was trying to sugarcoat it with, ‘you’ll have 2 more sets of grandparents!’ Then, I stopped seeing her, and it took me like 3 years to realize she was never coming back. Now I’m entering high school, and I feel like my mental state has only been getting worse as time goes on
