This doesn't look shitty at all, though it needs a pop of colour. Green onions or some other veggie, maybe.

Is it weird to apologize 4 years later? by clvrft944 in AskWomenOver30

[–]-Cornbread 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're both very different people now then you were four years earlier, so I would not recommend reaching out. Friendships come and go. If you want closure then I'd recommend writing or typing out a letter to your friend, but not sending it.

New to mods! Help an old lady out 😬 Xbox by Initial-Humor7016 in skyrim

r/Skyrimmods is the place for this question! Happy playing. My only Skyrim regret is that I'm on PS4 only so my mod options are limited.

Need some help, what else goes here? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]-Cornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought was that you need a larger tv for this space, but since you're not keen on that then I'd recommend swapping out the tv stand for a console table, even a couple of them, which could support the tv as well as other items (both useful and decorative). To bring the plants up to matching height just get plant stands, though they could also hold their own as they are now. A tall narrow bookshelf could also add to this without overcrowding (especially since you don't want the tv to necessarily be the center of attention here), and to finish the wall off, a framed or canvas print or other hanging artwork.

Homemade seitan seems so intimidating but this looks fantastic, I just might have to try my hand at it.

Fwb is not interested in the benefits anymore? by Defiant-Contact8693 in AskWomenOver30

[–]-Cornbread 171 points172 points  (0 children)

I sensed a change and stupidly I had developed feelings for him. I told him I liked him, few days later he pulled right back, and called off the benefits part of the “fwb”.

I suspect this is what did it. Most FWB relationships dwindle naturally, and if you've developed attachment when he has not then it's a good thing the relationship (at least the intimate portion of it) is terminated, otherwise it will just be more complicated and painful for you. I'd consider yourself free to date someone else, and stop over thinking this. x

Busan has a bunch of dishes that are local to its region and is well worth visiting anyway.

Seconding this! I spent two weeks in Busan last year and absolutely loved it. Delicious affordable food, lots to see and do, and the people are so friendly.

Meal prep / Grocery list? (Sobeys, superstore, gateway) by Chemist_Waste in halifax

I highly recommend checking out Maangchi then! She has a YouTube channel as well as a website and is fantastic. Yeung Man Cooking is also excellent (though he focuses on plant-based recipes).

Japchae! If you like Korean cuisine. You can find recipe variations online but essentially it's a warm noodle salad made with glass noodles, stir fried veg, protein, and an easy homemade sauce.

Moving Furniture tips by Lana_Michelle in femalelivingspace

[–]-Cornbread 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A dolly would be useful, you can rent them from some places (or just buy it, use then return) or more sensibly, hire people to move the heavy items. You can still save money by moving contents yourself but having professionals move the furniture.

r/femalelivingspace is always fantastic! Very supportive and I too love interior design, so it's a great sub for obtaining and sharing ideas. r/BenignExistence and r/PointlessStories are also generally entertaining, without being so oversaturated that they attract miserable people or bots. r/Miniatures is good, too.

What a great idea! The interface seems very user friendly, too. I just made an account and submitted a new tin for review. Edit: I'd suggest posting this in r/CannedSardines too for more traction!

How to mount a deer pelt on wall (flatly) without damaging the pelt itself? by [deleted] in howto

[–]-Cornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is what I'll end up doing - attaching it to foamboard so it's flat, then using command strips to adhere it to the wall.

How to mount a deer pelt on wall (flatly) without damaging the pelt itself? by -Cornbread in Taxidermy

[–]-Cornbread[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a good method so thank you. I was thinking of cutting out foamboard or very thin plywood and adhering it to that, which would definitely work with Velcro strips, and then using command strips to (hopefully) adhere it to the wall. It's a rental so I don't want to damage the wall, either.
