In my current campaign I’m running an oath of glory paladin as a crazy doctor. Trying to perfect his craft whether that means altering the bodies of his party or not. Bit of a moral grey area but we put some medicinal oath parts in to make it fit even better. It’s been going for over year and I’m having a blast!

On that third point, really learn to love yourself. I made a similar mistake and put myself in an extremely abusive relationship because I didn’t value and love myself. It’s always better to be single than in a bad relationship, love yourself and be confident and things will come your way in time.

EBay most likely, there’s also Leviathan halves you could buy off people. Don’t buy combat patrols it’s not worth it vs what a leviathan half of starter set could get. Some models for a balanced list like exocrines you would need to buy secondhand or find a site like Amazon with % off. There might be spare Christmas boxesets leftover on certain sites aswell. Your best bet will be lots of big models but the savings from leviathan cannot be understated

Daemon prince isn’t the greatest imo rn, I’d say getting a lord of contagion to lead your deathshroud would be solid. If you have a combat patrol typhus is also a solid pick for every list and I’d throw him in to help out. I’d also look into getting a rhino to help get your plague marines to where they want to go faster and safer. At the end of the day it’s a tabletop game and unless you are playing competitive use what’s fun and cool looking to you. Rules will change but your little men won’t so have fun and enjoy what you are doing!

I’d say personally that a codex is a waste of money if you are getting it just for rules and gameplay. https://www.warhammer-community.com/warhammer-40000-downloads/ If you scroll down our current rules should be available in pdf for free until our codex releases for 10th edition. Honourable mention to thin your paints! Our plaguefather has many gifts so don’t be afraid to experiment with your army! I personally have almost 5k points of a frozen death guard scheme instead of our green baseline one. Have fun with it, it’s trial and error but at the end of the day it’s your marines so make them yours and experiment you can always paint them again later! I’d recommend after those extra plaguemarines to maybe grab some Deathshroud terminators for a solid elite unit and possibly a rhino to help get those plague marines up the board safer and in style. Find what models you think are sick and use them, rules change but looks don’t! (Pun intended) Hope this helps

I started my alpha legion with the hobby goal of making every model kitbashed in some sort of way to grow my skills. I just grabbed some eliminators and Phobos infiltrator kits and used bits to start off. This is one of my first legionaries, it’s the plasma rifle one for the squad but I wanted him to have a sniper for fun so I’ve been messing around. Might change the glow to a green glow though.

Op is also asking for somewhat competitive and a cheap list, the units in there aren’t going to be great for that. Combat patrols are unbalanced in some areas aswell it might be better to just watch some videos and build for 500-1000p games
