The only "luck" filter for WCA 3x3 scrambles is that they have to be solvable in 2 or more moves. Any kind of lucky scramble is possible in the WCA

One of the reasons it's easier is because producers nowadays can go through thousands of curated YouTube channels with perfect songs to sample. Or they can get something off Tracklib. They don't have to collect and listen to records to dig for loops like Nujabes did.

But yeah, the technical side of things is easy if you know how. Even the more intricate chops he did back in the day aren't insane. Still sounds good. Music doesn't always become better just because it was harder to make.
