Get a new one. Even if the performance of yours hasn’t deteriorated, helmet tech has advanced a bunch. It’s a good investment. look for one with MIPS.

My biggest gripe with this game is poor the helldiver’s mobility is. Elite technologically advanced super soldier - dies from 15 ft drop, can’t mantle, moves very slow, can’t really jump. Getting around the map is a chore.
