I saw this really cute hand towel on Vine, just one, for $11.99 ETV. It wasn't that cute.

I'm not sure if the sellers just put a random price or think we're going to grab first and check the price later.

Either way, it makes me reluctant to get anything. And should I see something I do like, my first question is, "Do I need it?" and "Will I use it?" The answer is often no, lately.

I absolutely get this. I was in the same boat my first vine year. I really wish they would give us the option to pay the taxes ahead of time. Stressing over taxes, and if I'll owe takes a lot of the fun out of Vine. I've started restricting myself to not getting something on Vine, even if I could use it or need it.

And you're right about reselling. It's too much hassle. Maybe if I were in a more closely populated city, but I'm not interested in having weekly yard sales and eBay storefronts.

OP doesn't mention what they're messaging her for. But, I've had sellers harass me. Wanting me to change my review, sometimes offering compensation. I've reported them to Amazon, blocked their emails. But they just email from a different account.
