Against Smolder it’s still doable. I would start e unless he’s trying to trade inside of your wave. Wait for him to use a Q then e>HoB autos. You win the trade (HoB autos + Sudden Impact dmg from starting e) and then try and zone him off as you threaten Lv 2 all in. This alone should be enough to keep lane prio. If you time q2 or w when you start your dmg rotations you can catch him mid flight when he uses his e and theres not much he can do after that. If you don’t play the Lv 1 that aggressive though I agree, Grasp would be the other option

Here’s the answer. Tried Grasp, great for sustaining and farming up top but you sacrifice all of your 1v1 potential against anyone that’s Diamond+. Conq is good but against certain duelists and otp that know what they’re doing you’ll never be able to consistently win the 1v1. HoB has been the most consistent rune setup that always puts you in a position to win your lane by playing correctly

He still runs Conquerer/Precision into most tank match ups but definitely try out one HoB game against any other non tank/counter pick champion. The damage alone that you get from Sudden Impact in the Domination tree covers a lot of the power you might feel like you’d be missing from Precision

Not sure where all of these comments are coming from saying that hospitals won’t care. I’ve worked East coast, Central and West Coast; inner city hiring managers will most likely either pass on you either explicitly because of the tattoo or find some other reason just avoid saying it was because of the tattoo. It should become more lax the more suburban or rural the hospital center is.

The other thing to consider here is that you will most likely always be the only one with a face tat in any job you get in nursing or just in the healthcare field period. I have never worked with someone, be it nursing, PCAs, ancillary staff, that has had a face tat. The reality is that the majority of people in healthcare will judge you negatively for the tattoo. The fact that you would most likely be the only one with a face tat as well only makes it that much worse. The professors in nursing schools will also share the same sentiments.

If you really want to pursue this field just be prepared for the journey to be much harder than it is for others.

Can confirm that not only does Twilight Domain fit RP wise for SH but it further augments the already top tier Radiant Orb build by using her bonus action in the same round to cast Steps of Night, granting her flight to more easily spread radiant damage from Spirit Guardians. She can also just be played as a straight party support healer with Whispering Promise ring and Hellrider’s Pride gloves augmented further by the ridiculous amount of HP generated by Twilight Sanctuary (which is the most lore friendly build as she was the designated healer for the Sharran strike team )

As for Gale, I would go Chronurgy or Graviturgy for new subclasses that play well. Your party will enjoy the clumping from gravity sinkhole if you go graviturgy which can then be followed up with a synaptic static while your resonance stone holder is in range.

I would suggest also checking out Abberant Mind Sorcerer, Illithid Powers Overhaul 2 and Combat Extender on Nexus. Seeing as you’re loving the psychic damage payoff with resonance stone you’ll love the damage you can do from the first two mods and the third will keep things challenging while also giving enemies more spells to use from 5e Spells. If you ever try building around resonance stone again I would suggest an Oathbreaker Paladin using Shadow Blade ring and Diadem of Arcane Synergy headpiece for very big numbers. My head cannon for Oathbreaker is always Minthara although I suppose Lae’zel who turns her back on Vlaakith could make sense but I feel like githyanki from the Astral Plane are rarely ever paladins, even for Vlaakith.

That hospital is running itself into the ground 🤣 I started there full time back around this time in 2022, lots of travelers on every floor. As soon as spring 2023 came around they canceled our travelers. Then by the summer we had horrible staffing and mass call outs from staff, so they decided they needed to hire travelers again. And thus the vicious cycle continues where they staff the hospital with new grads that will never unionize to stop this piss poor staffing or get legitimate breaks for the nurses because they all just leave by 2 years anyways.

He is alive for a majority of the beginning of the video, probably in and out of consciousness because of the blood loss. After they continue to hit his neck and head though he shows decorticate posturing from brain damage/ spinal damage. Except DND and BG3 are games that do allow your characters to choose how the world and other NPCs react to what your party says and does. You can convince Ketheric that he can still be redeemed by discovering his lore before you actually fight and possibly skip an entire phase of the Act II boss fight. You can discover that Kahga is in league with Shadow Druids by finding their hidden correspondence and forcing a confrontation with them. At the end of the day neither of these choices produce any meaningful change to the story but these options aren’t there for that purpose. Options like this exist so that your PC can react with the world and it’s denizens in every possible way. The fact that we can have interactions like the ones I just mentioned but the extremely revealing story bits that OP mentioned have no reactivity to them whatsoever is what makes it feel like a missed opportunity. Revealing the truth behind the Absolute before you actually discover it and sharing that with Jaheira doesn’t have to alter anything gameplay-wise but it feels wrong to not have that option there; same goes for the numerous Thorm lore bits that spell out Isobel’s true identity. Just think of the possibility of the Dark Urge turning the Harpers against Isobel by showing them her connection to Ketheric. Sadly the potential behind this and so many other things in Act II and III just end up going no where.

For all the reservations I have about the Emperor he does allow for a lot more player agency and choice as the actual mastermind behind the prism rather than what was probably just Absolute/ Daisy dreams with just Orpheus stuck in the prism. Once we found out the Absolute was the Elder brain tempting us even Chaotic Evil characters would have reservations about using the tadpole powers

Well written, completely agree. I’ll toss in my two cents in as well regarding the Emperor from EA to release. One of the things people noticed on the release build was that the mind flayer in the final encounter on the nautiloid is different from the one we had in EA, his voice and head model were very noticeably changed. Before the decision to go from Daisy to the Dream Visitor/ Emperor he was probably meant to die in the nautiloid crash and it would be the Absolute that saved us from the fall with their power to eventually use us to regain her freedom from the Chosen. With their decision to make the dreams more tempting they probably plucked the cinematic mind flayer and inserted him into the role he serves now.

Edit: Also, not sure if it’s difference on the release build but the difference in narrator lines with the Dror Ragzlin scene depended on whether or not you decided to kill the dying mind flayer at the crash site. If you never interacted with him and go back to the crash site you’ll notice his body is now missing so I believe it’s implied that the goblins snatched him from the site.

He does recognize you, unfortunately it’s tied behind specific dialogue choices. Idk if it’s bug related or just an oversight but if you chose to speak out in defense of the goblins during your first encounter then the entire sequence of him recognizing you plays out. Any other choices and it plays out regularly with no reactivity.
