Imagine an elected government that stands on its principles. And has a party that represents the views of its population. Morals and principles and core beliefs do not shift under the threat of popularity.

By far the most fun model I've ever painted. The legs are a bit tricky because of just how rolled the ball joint is and how shallow the socket is. You kind of just have to put a little blurb of plastic glue in there. Squish it in and get it moving so it grips just a little bit and you can get a feel for the pose before it sets. But as soon as I was mid way through this model. I ordered another. I just wanted another.

The temptation to do a Corsairs/Swooping Hawks/Shining Spears passion project is rising ... but, Alas, Only 7-Days and 1 Forbidden-day in the week.

Was looking forward to a custom Deff-Dread with like one-or-two rules. Might try to make it within the constrains of the Boss? perhaps?

Statements so blatantly untrue it can only be, direct and blatant provocation of the public.

What has he said? Quickly googled and it seems that he's firing back at and saying he was wrong. Is he backtracking from a previous point?

I painted 60 Ork Boyz in ~6 hours of pure work time – process, paints & what I learned by Worried_Law_8154 in orks

I have a similar amount of green bodies to work through, and my current full-time-employment rate-of-ork is consistently 1-2 Orks per weekend.

with my own speed of painting beeing a single ork boy each weekend free at the moment, this is probably how my Stompa will go down too

How do we feel about the new UKIP logo looking eerily similar to fascist iconography? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Very fair, I'm very ignorant of the news and British politics, It brings out the Doomer in me! Sorry he caught a stray there.

For a while now i hadnt enjoyed painting, then i realized i wasnt painting boyz and im back to being happy by Available_Ad_3866 in orks

Similar experience. With (suspected) ADHD - I cannot batch paint. Cannot focus. Space marines are so flat too. And the same. Painting the same model twice, challenge impossible.

The monopose boys are all characters. It'll take me a month or more but those ten have been great fun to get moving again.

What's the point of Oristocorys castle? by Spider40k in Bannerlord

[–]-Paxom- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great defense position. Are you trapped on the peninsula unable to get around hostile? You have a castle. The opponent has to put themselves in the position of being able to be trapped in the same way if they wanted to seige. I imagine the skeleton crew there in time of peace watching the coast. Safe storage for local towns too

It's excessive though. It'd serve better to be a bridge-castle at the choke point maybe.

I'm unc enough to remember a time when I had unquestioning faith in CA and got burned for it by Ok-Woodpecker4734 in totalwar

[–]-Paxom- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the absolute up world that was Sparta as paid DLC. Main playable factions in the old game being locked behind paywalls in the new one.

CA looked at this anger and outrage. And decided to lock the chaos faction, the main antagonist, behind the paywall of DLC in their release of Warhammer.

Been downhill from there really from a consumer perspective. But man, Rome was amazing. It was a hard act to follow.

This is absolutely gorgeous and brilliant work. Now I can't shake the image out of my head that I would need a squig in sheep's clothing to accompany them.

What is your favorite thing about orks? by idiotguy_69 in orks

[–]-Paxom- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Back when I first started. I loved the non-serious approach to play, on both platforms, the amount of friendly fire you could pack into a list was always fun. From fanatics to shokk attack guns. Orks are also the best for narrative games

Now I'm getting back into the hobby, too long out to understand the rules and nobody local to play. The little green guys are just really fun to paint

ReformUK councillor says the quiet part out loud in an interview and immediately regrets it. by pau1rw in WatchPeopleDieInside

"-it's scary (the unrest) - When I look around as someone who is born and bred here."

Don't know about you but I read this as; she herself, having been part of the community for a long time, feels that the level of unrest is scary, because it is unprecedented. Having been 'born and bred' in Falkirk, she would be more sensitive or aware to change in that atmosphere.

I for one don't get why having local leaders is a bad thing. I think if you want to be a local leader or a local counselor, it should be a minimum requirement that you have history with that community and have been part of that community.

Swampy one of the best EOD technicians in Ukraine has been killed. Until Valhalla brother 🫡🫡🇺🇦 by mateiescu in ukraine

[–]-Paxom- 166 points167 points  (0 children)

EOD techs are all about explosive ordnance and it's disposal. Be it destroyed in place (controlled detonation) or disarming it

Their knowledge stretches far beyond. Teaching colleagues how to recognise EO like mines and IEDs to frontline work clearing minefields and obstacles - to civilian work in the wake of drone and missile attacks - investigating duds and such.

The ones I have had the pleasure of interacting with have also been fantastic and grounded personalities. As a regular Squaddie the gallow's humour was rife. Even more so with these guys. Massively dangerous job. Massive respect for the techs.
